    Crazy crex checking in finally

To all my fellow Houndz a great big thanks for all your efforts with your predfraft chatter.

I enjoyed all the various scenerios.

Am stoked that we can sit back and basically reload/improve any position and not have to draft a day one starter.

Feeling really good siting 5 picks out. Board has fallen about perfect.

Think it’s time to toss in a fourth and go get “our guy”.

It’s Greg Newsome for the Browns. Didn’t think he’d be there at #26 but he’s a guy connected to them early and that they liked.

Production wasn't there, but tested at an elite level, high-motor, high-character dude and he’s also super-young.

    Solid choice.

JOK still in play... we talked move up, well possibly second instead of first round.

Y'all... I gotta remember that the Raiders are the worst-drafting franchise of the 21st century and Mike Mayock is a terrible evaluator of talent. I couldn't imagine passing on a player like Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, elite production who fills three massive holes on your team, for a R2-R3 guard like Leatherwood. Incredible.

Just, looking over everything, if they felt good about a certain prospect, having two picks in both the 3rd and 4th rounds could really give them an opportunity to go get someone.

Our 59, 89 and 110 picks might be enough to move into the top 5 picks of the second round, each spot up might need a little something more. The Jets move tells me teams are liking what they see in the 3rd round, so that may be true for more than just the Vikings. The teams up top need a lot more roster help. I don't think they will balk at multiple picks, but you never know.

Jets just gave up #66 to move from #23 to #14. Honestly, I think this move is equivalent to the Browns moving from #27 to #5 in the 2nd round. The discrepancy in players level is that much different than those involving the top 15 prospects, especially with 4 QBs being taken in those top picks.

Really it depends on your target.. If you are looking for Barmore, you can probably risk waiting the first 5-6 picks out to see if he is still available. DL isn't nearly as high of a need at the top of the order as LB is. I think you would need to be aggressive if you are looking at JOK, I don't think he lasts very long into the round. WR, it's hard to say where everyone is ranked. There are a few with similar grades, so if you want one, you might need to make a jump, but if you also have similar grades, you could be more patient.

Really Owus-Koramoah and Moehrig are the only players I would worry about and get aggressive if I wanted either of them. Everyone else is up in the air where they would go... I expect them both to go early though.

Definitely agree here -- on both points. I figure Moehrig is the #33 overall selection, honestly, since most mock drafts out there had Jacksonville taking him at #25.

I had read that a number of teams really valued that 55 - 75 space in this draft for players. Unless a highly-sought after guy for the Browns is starting to slide into the mid-40s, I'd guess we stay at (or around) #59 but definitely come up once or twice from #89 and #91.

    #91 + #110 = 210 pts or #76 (Johnson); 72.82 pts #68 (Hill) -- approx. 72 overall selection
    #89 + #132 = 185 pts or #81 (Johnson); 63.62 pts or #77 (Hill) -- approx. 79 overall selection

Bundling those four picks to come away with two very prized players makes a lot of sense for a team who's roster isn't filled with glaring needs and depth isn't a major concern any more, either.

I couldn't agree more...We might have 5 spots available on the roster, and we got 8 picks left. I'm expecting Berry to get aggressive here on day 2.

The Browns secondary looks like one of the NFL's very best.

I absolutely love it on paper... Now let's stay healthy for a full season and see what they can do!

I still have some pretty serious reservations about not only a couple of the penciled in starters; Newsome/Williams opposite Ward, and Delpit/Harrison opposite Johnson... but I also on the guy calling the shots - Joe Woods. Certainly feels like to this point he's been given ample rope with which to hang himself. If the infusion of talent and a second year in the system cannot lift them to Top 15 passing and Top 5 rushing, I'm out on Woods.

FWIW... we finished 25th in pass and 10th in rushing last season and that was after just pissing away leads and yards in the third- and fourth-quarters. Not that much of an ask to get to Top 15 and Top 5, respectively, given the additions.
