My guess is, depends on how the next 5 picks fall.. Will 4 more QBs go and can the Broncos trade for Rodgers cheaper than trading up for "their guy"?
Damn. I remember back before the Free Agency I was saying Wilson is probably #2 and all the backlash. Now it seemed unanimous and there it is. But #3 is the new #2.
@Tim just in case you're wondering, I'd still take Sam Darnold in 2 seconds as a prospect over Zach Wilson. I know we've had convos about Wilson and you know I like him. But not nearly that much. I was huge on Darnold.
I was never a Darnold fan. I thought he'd bust. Looked to prove me wrong for a whole quarter of a season and it's been downhill since. I won't write him off though because the Panthers are a better team and organization.
Sam is going to have a chance for one of the bigger career turnarounds we've seen out of a young passer that struggled at his first stop. The coaching he is going to receive in Carolina is going to feel like it was ordained from the heavens after dealing with Gase for the last two seasons.
Definitely the right move by SF, IMO. Now, Jimmy G is probably off the block and Trey will get to simmer for a season. I really like that pick.
