Been there myself. Valuation is hard. Especially when stuck in evaluation mode for a long time. At least you'll have a couple of completely ignored guys ready for Draft Value, right?
It's to the point where I just want to take the 4 best players available. But at the same time, you have that spot you kind of hoped to improve in the draft where the value just didn't pan out and it kind of got ignored and you're hoping to find a gem at that position. So I'm waffling. I told Joe I wanted to go deeper in UDFA this year. But he made the valid point that for the sake of the draft value challenge it was probably a bad idea.
LoL. You're pulling a TD. Speaking of which, TD took Hubert a minute ago. Or someone did. Third time's a charm
The Falcons surprisingly released prospect QB Kurt Benkert just six weeks after resigning him. No idea what that was about, but it left Matt Ryan as the only quarterback on the roster with Matt Schaub retiring. I took Davis Mills in the third round as my #2. For the #3, at first I was torn between Book and another quarterback prospect WAY down the rankings. Book has the poise, experience etc but seriously needs to hit the weight room. The other one is a better athlete but needs work on his mechanics that will take at least one year on a practice squad. So as much as I'd like to think my coaching staff can mold the other guy, and as much as I like the new QB coach personally, I just can't do it. Book falling all the way to the UDFA stage is a no-brainer.
That was the last of the ones I knew haha. The board just never broke right for the Titans to get one, even the UDFA’s didn’t wanna sign with me.
Don't do it, RicoL8 ! The Falcons have been throwing darts at edge rushers for the last 15 years (since they traded for John Abraham in 2006) and still haven't hit a 20 or a bullseye. Half of those darts missed the board completely.
