Assuming we hear back from Will, you and @turf_toe ready to rock?

Yeah Will might have fallen asleep. But if I'm not mistaken he might be one to nod off for an hour, show up for 3. Not sure his schedule is as structured as some of yours.

Have you drafted him in all our mocks?? Feels like it but might be a figment of my imagination.

  15. TopDawg Legend

I've only been in one other mock...but yes, took him around same spot.

  20. Torgo M.V.P. Manager Falcons

    A more serious Falcons recap:

2.3 Jayson Oweh - EDGE - Penn State

Oweh joins Dante Fowler as the team's main edge rushers this year. Oweh certainly needs some polish, but he's a freakish athlete and versatile enough to be a proper 4-3 DE as well as a 3-4 edge rusher. New DC Dean Pees should be able to figure out how to use him effectively. I'm envisioning a base 3-4 with Grady Jarrett, Marlon Davidson and Deadrin Senat up front, Oweh and eventually Charles Snowden on the edges, and Deion Jones and Foye Oluokun as the ILBs.

    2.8 Jevon Holland - S - Oregon

Falcons signed Erik Harris and Duron Harmon (who knows the Dean Pees defense already) at safety, so Holland doesn't have to start right away. He will spend some time at nickel this season while he learns the system and will migrate to a starting safety role later on. Ultimately, I do see him at safety rather than CB, but for now it's A.J. Terrell and Isaiah Oliver at CB, Harris and Harmon at safety, and Holland at nickel.

Favorite bit of draft season silliness: Maurice Jones-Drew says that Holland is the best defensive player in this year's draft.

    3.4 Davis Mills - QB - Stanford

Probably the most important pick of my draft. Mills immediately replaces Matt Schaub (retired) as QB #2, filling the most serious hole in the roster. My plan is to keep Ryan for at least 2021 and 2022. Mills will be groomed to become Ryan's successor.

    3.41 Kendrick Green - G - Illinois

The other roster hole was the backup center / active interior backup role. Green played a few games at center this season, and he's arguably better at center than at guard. Fill him in as the #2 center behind Matt Hennessy.

    4.13 Charles Snowden - Edge - Virginia

A second shot at developing an edge rusher. I need versatility for the Dean Pees defense, and Snowden plays the SLB role in a base 4-3 in addition to edge rusher in a 3-4. He won't have to start right away, but he'll get playing time in both positions this year and hopefully step up to a starting role next year.

    5.4, 5.8, 6.29, 6.35 - TBD

    and of course...

    2022 first rounder
    2022 third rounder
    2022 third rounder
    2023 second rounder

The way I see it, I'm losing Julio Jones and Dante Fowler next year and will almost certainly lose several other key players to free agency. Those extra picks will be critical.
