I nixed a trade offer from KC in 2nd rd for Delpit because I figured that would be coming for me. lol!
LMAO. At one time I owned like 20 straight picks with 1 team in the 6th or 7th. Used to always get a 6th thrown in to any trade and people didn't mind.
@matthewwillson29 thanks for the patience. Vincent Jr was likely always going to be the guy. But just had to convince myself there wasn't a better move I could make. Guy is an athlete. Will fight you at the catch point. And despite some size limitations, he DOES NOT shy away from playing his part in the run game, like Ahkello W sure did as a prospect. LOL. One more jab.
I seem to have a higher estimation of his worth than others. I've had offers, just not one I'm willing to take yet. Will consider futures though.
lol. The trade would have been good. You've earned some honour system points. As an extra, Falcons Guy has been doing this since the CBS days. He's just not always done them here.
And also, #^$! you That kid could be a huge steal. And definitely was in consideration for the Niners here. Would have been for Colts last pick too had Eskridge been snagged earlier. Anyone not watched Cade Johnson's senior bowl 1-on-1's yet?? Telling you, one of the most impressive reels I've seen this offseason
I was high on him last year. 1st round grade high. I won't be trading for him though. Just don't feel like it's part of my strategy.
He just needs to learn how to win the 50/50 balls a little better but he was a solid option to give Borrow a crossing option. Great speed and breakaway ability. Couldn't pass him up here. Was going to take some Defensive help but this seemed like a perfect fit.
Bills 1(30) Tyson Campbell, CB - Georgia 3(13) Baron Browning, LB - Ohio State 3(29) Tylan Wallace, WR - Oklahoma State 4(3) Patrick Jones, DE - Pittsburgh Saints 1(4) Trey Lance, QB - North Dakota State 2(25) Aaron Robinson, CB - UCF 3(39) Chazz Surratt, LB - North Carolina Eagles 1(12) Devonta Smith, WR - Alabama 2(5) Gregory Rousseau, DE - Miami 2(24) Jackson Carman, OT - Clemson 3(20) Rodarius Williams, CB - Oklahoma State
Well if he gets open as often as he did in the 1-v-1's at the Senior bowl, the 50-50 thing might be irrelevant. Nobody could match him off the line of scrimmage. And, to passive-aggressively hide a jab in here, he wins 50-50's today better than John Ross did at 9th overall as a prospect. So it's not a huge setback
Me too, and KC had a legit offer of late 2nd rd pick...But it's cool. I like Delpit a lot, and I wasn't excited about seeing TWO former LSU #7's in that KC secondary along with Mathieu, quite honestly...That would have been scary. In the big picture, that's the team I'm trying to catch.
1) Saints 2) Bills 3) Eagles Keep in mind, that's based solely off my view of those guys as prospects. I criticized your Rodarius selection in the last mock, and to your credit, you didn't let that mean S#i+ to you. Which I respect. But he's not the only Eagles choice I'm lower on than average. Hence their 3rd place result in my highly sought after ranking there....LoL
Also Chazz Surratt can get added to that list with Marvin Wilson of guys I like but have managed not to land in any mock. When this offseason started I was hoping he could be like a late 3rd-late 4th option for the Rams. And he's been available at our late 3rd, but as I study the team's moves more I've managed to push LB to the back-burner because it feels like that's kind of their thing. Not 100% sure why, but if you look at their interview list, they're poised to stay true to that this offseason.
