Look, I like Mac and Lance..Seriously, I do like both. I agree with Tim that the safest bet is Mac....But if either goes ahead of Justin Fields, it's classic overthinking IMO.

 

That being said, as "safe" as people think Mac Jones is, I don't know if I buy it. He could be something like a Minshew with little room to develop. Not the best comparison but the type of production and initial flash maybe. Minshew IMO needed to develop, I liked him as a potential starter but he was thrown to the wolves too soon. I don't know if Jones can became half as good as Dalton if he doesn't catch on right away. Maybe I'm too critical though.

 

Top 10 for sure right? Only way I don't see it is if they actually go Jones and the only team making a move for a QB in the top 10 takes Lance.

 

There’s a chance that ATL just pulls the trigger on him if he’s available, which would probably guarantee that Mac/Lance would be gone at/by pick 9.

I love his upside. This class doesn’t have an obvious top guy and I think there’s a nonzero chance looking back it’s Tryon. Could never develop but the upside is there
