Only because you asked....I've hardly said two words you in a couple years and you immediately come with this: That's just unnecessary, untrue and an obvious attempt to stir it up. Let's just try to start off on the right foot for once, and leave past grievances right where they are.
Agreed. How could I not? Born in 68. I've said MANY times on these boards that throughout my lifetime, the Steelers have been the best run organization in sports. However before my time, they were pretty much a train wreck for decades. Rooney's got it figured out, just like Jimmy H is getting it figured out.
The Cleveland Browns have terminated the contract of DT Sheldon Richardson. Richardson joined the Browns as an unrestricted free agent in 2019. Last season, he started all 16 games and totaled 64 tackles, 4.5 sacks and one forced fumble. Initially a first-round pick by the Jets in 2013, Richardson was voted the 2013 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, named a Pro Bowler in 2014 and was voted the winner of the 2019 PFWA Dino Lucarelli Good Guy award.
I guess we shouldn't be surprised. Even though he was pretty good last season, that's a big cap number he was carrying. Can't say this isn't a little disappointing.....We probably asked him to take a pay cut. Or maybe this signals we aren't done in free agency yet.
Your owner finally is showing he possibly learned something from his time as a minority owner of the Steelers. Hopefully he doesn’t surpass the Roonies. The worst record that the Steelers have had since 1972 playoff season is 5-11 a couple of times in the 80’s. If we didn’t have a elite QB for a couple of seasons I could still see us in the wild card hunt as long as we have a HOF coach like Tomlin.
Welcome to the AFC North Mr. Clowney, you do you and make the Ravens pay for weakening your side of their line!! 2021 gonna be fun!
Clowney looks like he has something to prove. I think he's fired up to be a part of this. The Cleveland Browns roster is stacked. Haven't been this excited about the Browns since late 80's
Here's something I just realized . . . The Browns have never won the AFC North. They have won the AFC Century and the AFC Central. But never the AFC North.
Likewise, I was watching Good morning football on Thursday and they had mentioned the Browns last won the division in 1989, when it was the AFC Central and that is when I too realized they had never won the North. I mean I have lived the futility of this franchise, but things like that continue to pop up that make you realize just how futile it really has been over the last 30 years. As far as the NFL is concerned, the 80s were the best time of my life.. it’s freaking 2021.
Yeah, the last time we won our division we edged out the Houston Oilers for the title, if that says anything.... We did get a rare home playoff victory over Buffalo in a 34-30 thriller. I was there for that one. Fun game....Of course, the next season the Bills went on their run of 4 straight SB's, all famously ending in losses. But yeah Irish, it's been a long time. The Randy Lerner years, Pat Shurmur, Hue Jackson, good lord we've seen it all. From Johnny football showing up to practice drunk, to Brandon Weeden getting stuck under the giant American flag just before his debut, to the team broadcasting hardcore porn throughout the offices in the entire building for nearly 20 minutes, to Dwayne Rudds helmet toss. You name it. We've seen it. Nobody deserves a winner more than Browns fans. It's SO refreshing seeing this confident group of professionals running the Cleveland Browns now.
lmaoooooooo Joe Mixon isn't even in the Top 5 of the AFC North!! 1 - Nick Chubb (CLE) 2 - Kareem Hunt (CLE) 3 - J.K. Dobbins (BAL) 4 - Lamar "QB" Jackson (BAL) 5 - Najee Harris (R) (PIT)
Does anyone else recall when SAS touted Joe Mixon as the best RB of his class? Shouting over and over that Mixon was "his guy". Pepperidge Farm remembers...
That's a nice list of RBs, gotta be the best division for RBs in the league. If Harris can rank #2 by the end of the season I would love the Steeler's chances to run away with the division.
lol, now that we ALSO have the superior defense, even if he somehow managed to rank #2 on that list to Chubb, if anyone was running away with anything which I doubt in the AFC North, it will be the Browns.
