Is he EDGE or DT? I think you can put him anywhere on the line. I like Christian Barmore a little better but Turner looks legit...

Barmore was just so unreal against Ohio State....

If I'm being honest, I don't have any rankings this year. I haven't watched film like I did in the past. I have seen some highlight reels, but that is about the extent of it.

IMO, if Kwity Paye gets to pick #20, he's worth moving up for, though I doubt he gets there. Same for Horn and Owusu-Koramoa.

Might not seem like a position of need, but we only have Ronnie Harrison signed for one more year...This kid is going to be a superstar. One of my favorite prospects.

Not draft-related, per se, but this account just earned a follow on the off-chance it is the illustrious "SirCheeks" from the ol' CBS boards.

I can see either of those, especially Paye and Horn going to the Eagles at 12. Maybe Owusu but that feels like after a trade down.

What do you think about Rondale Moore? I know he's short, but that really shouldn't be a big deal with his skills. He's a combination of Tyreek Hill and Darren Sproles if you ask me...I'd LOVE to add a weapon like that to the Mayfield huddle. Plus, just imagine what he could do in the return game? The Browns offense looks really good as is, but the thought of Stefanski having a little secret/deadly weapon like Rondale would be really fun.

No doubt. I figure he'll be off the board by #26, but he's definitely one to watch, too. I firmly believe that the Browns have put themselves in a position to draft for the future, not the right now. Filling out the defensive roster in free agency allows them to think about what to do at key positions like wide receiver (solid today, very murky in 2022 and beyond) or the defensive interior.

Moore seems to be an all-around kind of weapon, like a Percy Harvin or Tyreek Hill. The size is a bit of a pause for me since a taller receiver is something that's noticeably lacking from the roster. I'm thinking of guys who can get down the field and win those 1:1's primarily. But Moore and Toney (Florida) are going to be interesting to watch and see where they land.

Really kinda feels like the draft doesn't start until about #7 (Detroit) right now...

    1. Trevor Lawrence
    2. Zach Wilson
    3. Justin Fields (I refuse to believe they traded up for Mac Jones or Trey Lance and will continue to believe this until Roger Goodell says otherwise)
    4. Kyle Pitts
    5. Ja'Marr Chase
    6. DeVonta Smith/Jaylen Waddle
    7. ???

Detroit could very well take a QB... Jared Goff hasn't proven he's not replaceable. They could also easily trade out of this pick to someone wanting to leap-frog Carolina (who for sure would take Trey Lance, right?) and get a QB. Picks 1-6 feel just about locked up. Then the next eight or so spots as far as needs are concerned...

    8. Carolina - QB
    9. Denver - QB, LB, CB
    10. Dallas - Patrick Surtain (needs: CB, S)
    11. Giants - Rashawn Slater
    12. Eagles - QB, WR, TE, LB, CB
    13. Chargers - Penei Sewell
    14. Minnesota - Christian Darrisaw
    15. New England - QB, RB, WR, TE, EDGE, CB
    16. Arizona - CB

A *LOT* of quarterback-needy teams will be competing for the last 1-2 guys (Lance, Jones) in R1. New England, to me, feels like the most likely to move up, followed by Denver.

    So...

... now that that's official, here's the defense in the nutshell:

LDE: Myles Garrett, Porter Gustin, Cameron Malveaux
    LDT: Sheldon Richardson, Jordan Elliott
    RDT: Malik Jackson, Andrew Billings
    RDE: Jadeveon Clowney, Takkarist McKinley
SAM: Malcolm Smith, Sione Takitaki, Curtis Weaver
MLB: Anthony Walker Jr., Mack Wilson
    WLB: Jacob Phillips, Elijah Lee
LCB: Denzel Ward, M.J. Stewart Jr., Brian Allen, A.J. Green
    SS: Grant Delpit, Ronnie Harrison
    FS: John Johnson, Sheldrick Redwine
    NCB: Troy Hill,
    RCB: Greedy Williams, Robert Jackson

You don't want to be drafting for need, but perimeter corner (opposite Denzel) sure seems like the safe bet if they go needs-based.

Using free agency the way they have certainly gives them options on draft day.

I wish I could give credit for who said this, but I can't remember who the guest was on Cleveland Browns Daily yesterday. He made a great point.. The Browns have set themselves up with a very solid roster of position players, so that they can look at the draft in a simple manner... Evaluate players based on an Elite Trait. They don't have to be players that can do everything right... right now. He was talking A LOT about JOK and his ability to cover as a linebacker. He thought that if the Browns were targeting a player, he would probably be the one. It was brought up about the Browns not valuing the linebacker position like other teams do and his retort was. They don't have a baseline to go off of. They have added pieces to the roster through free agency to make the starters better, and it is lining up so that they can add special players to highlight circumstance. Jeremiah Owusu-Koromoah was the second highest rated coverage grade in the NCAA last season (I'm not sure where he is quoting this from, but it's impressive)...and he's a LB. Just think what you would be able to do with a player like that in sub packages.

JOK is my top prospect, that I feel would be reachable for the Browns. He has been for a long time and hearing others talking about him as a possibility gets me excited for draft day. This is going to be a weird draft I think. Teams ALWAYS overdraft for need, so I see a lot of offensive linemen going ahead of their grades, I see a run on one of the most important pieces to any defense, CB. I see a run on edge guys, ahead of their grade. A 220 linebacker, I'm just not sure there will be enough GMs that value his talents. Whether you want to draft him as a light LB or a heavy safety, I really don't give a damn. The guy can flat out play at a high level.

I am starting to see Trask jumping into the first round predictions now also... I certainly hope he does!! That will bode well for the Browns. I can honestly see 4 QBs going in the top 4 spots of the draft, and the 5th going in the top ten. If that happens, Trask could sneak into the top 25.

QB needy teams in order: Jets (nothing), Jaguars (Minshew), Broncos (Lock), Bears (Red Rifle/Foles), 49ers (Garoppolo), Patriots (Newton), Panthers (Darnold/Bridgewater), Football Team (Fitzpatrick), Lions (Goff), Steelers( Roethlisberger 39), Falcons (Ryan 35), . 11 Teams that might consider taking a flyer on Trask.

If Trask goes top 25, then we are looking at 19 players ahead of the Browns....

Players I don't think there is any chance we get.
    1. Kyle Pitts
    2. Penei Sewell
    3. Ja'Marr Chase
    4. Jaylen Waddle
    5. Devonta Smith
    6. Patrick Surtain
    7. Jaycee Horn
    8. Rashawn Slater

Players that are all over the board, be it grading differences, injuries, off field red flags that could have them drop, etc... These are all guys that I could see being gone, but also could be staring us in the face at #26, but likely in that top 32 non- QB grading.
    9. Kwity Paye
    10. Caleb Farley
    11. Micah Parsons
    12. Christian Darrisaw
    13. Jeremiah Owusu-Koromoah
    14. Christian Barmore
    15. Trevon Moehrig
    16. Rashod Batemon
    17. Terrance Marshall
    18. Elijah Moore
    19. Greg Newsome
    20. Jayson Oweh
    21. Walker Little
    22. Azeez Ojulari
    23. Jaelen Philips
    24. Greg Rousseau
    25. Zaven Collins
    26. Dillan Radunz
    27. Tevan Jenkins
    28. Rondale Moore
    29. Asante Samuel
    30. Carlos Basham

Adding 6 to ANY of these players, puts them in the #15 up category and obtainable if the Browns want them. Moving from #26 to #15 wouldn't be crippling as the Patriots are in that spot and if they are getting a QB, they are most likely moving up in the draft. Points wise (disclaimer, I realize points aren't the best way to gauge) you are looking at #15 (1050 point value) and #26 (700 point value), the difference of 350 points is #59 and #132 (So if there's someone you REALLY REALLY want, it can be done). Then it obviously goes down incrementally from there, the further you get from #15. If who you want is there at #20 (value is only 850) so, you are only looking at #89 and #211, big difference in value.

I think one thing here worth nothing though is the cut-downs and after-pick trades of QBs already sitting on rosters.

Garoppolo is going to be playing for someone else Week 1 of the 2021 season. Seems reasonable that the same could be said for Teddy Bridgewater. In New Orleans, they have to decide between Jameis Winston ($5.5 million) and Taysom Hill ($14.9 million) who's four-year extension is really a cap hiding figure to give the team a one-year flier on him.

Impossible to guess what 25 other clubs are going to do on Draft day, you say? Well... maybe with that attitude.

    1. Jacksonville: Trevor Lawrence, QB
    2. NY Jets: Zach Wilson, QB
    3. San Francisco: Justin Fields, QB
    4. Atlanta: Kyle Pitts, TE
    5. Cincinnati: Ja'Marr Chase, WR
    6. Miami: DeVonta Smith, WR
    7. TRADE!! New England (f/Detroit): Mac Jones, QB
    8. TRADE!! Washington (f/Carolina): Trey Lance, QB
    9. Denver: Micah Parsons, LB
    10. Dallas: Patrick Surtain, CB
    11. NY Giants: Rashawn Slater, OT/OG
    12. Philadelphia: Jaylen Waddle, WR
    13. LA Chargers: Penei Sewell, OT
    14. Minnesota: Christian Darrisaw, OT
    15. TRADE!! Detroit (f/New England): Jaycee Horn, CB
    16. Arizona: Christian Barmore, DT
    17. Las Vegas: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB/S
    18. Miami: Jaelan Phillips, DE
    19. TRADE!! Carolina (f/Washington): Caleb Farley, CB
    20. Chicago: Greg Newsome, CB
    21. Indianapolis: Rondale Moore, WR
    22. Tennessee: Gregory Rousseau, DE
    23. NY Jets: Travis Etienne, RB
    24. Steelers: Azeez Ojulari, OLB
    25. Jacksonville: Trevon Moehrig, FS
