You singlehandedly make it impossible to have an intelligent conversation on this site.

What team takes a backup quarterback with their first round pick besides the Packers last year (Jordan Love)?

Azeez Ojulari: It would be sick to play with Myles Garrett

The Browns met with Jadeveon Clowney last month, but they have not signed him and that leaves a spot open on the edge of their defense across from Myles Garrett.

It’s an area they could address in the draft and at least one draft prospect at the position the has an eye on the Browns as a landing spot. Azeez Ojulari watched film of Garrett while playing at Georgia and said that he can “see some similarities in our game” when watching the Browns star.

Ojulari said it would be great to have an even closer view of Garrett once he begins his NFL career.

“That would be sick,” Ojulari said, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “It would be ridiculous man, trying to race him to the quarterback, see who gets there first. It’s going to be a competition in everything we do, no matter what it is. It would be great to add things that he knows to my game and try to get there with him.”

Ojulari had 15 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss during his last two seasons at Georgia and that pass rushing ability has him on track to be a first-round pick this month. Unless the Browns trade up, he’ll have to last until the 26th pick in order to join Garrett in Cleveland.

It would be sick to play with Myles Garrett because you're basically never facing a serious block (just like T.J. Watt). The fact that whomever the Browns have inserted into that opposite end spot hasn't been a 10+ sack guy every year consistently amazes me. Even when Olivier Vernon came on strong this past season, it was with Garrett out of the lineup.

That said... Ojulari, Oweh, and even to a less-extent Paye are all projected 3-4 outside guys. Our run defense is already a sore spot and sticking a 249 pound defensive end there isn't going to solve that issue.

I'm looking at Payton Turner (Houston) in the second round to fill that EDGE spot. In R1, give me best wide receiver or interior defensemen available. Or trade out.

Plenty of draft Capital at Andrew Berry's disposal. With extra picks in the 3rd and 4th rounds, he has the ammo to move up a bit if he wants. Not sure if he'd make a move in the first round, but if a player slips into the second round that he likes, that might be the time to get aggressive. Not complaining one bit, but It's been a while since Cleveland was this far down in the draft, I wish I knew what the big board looked like in the Browns war room.

    Per CBS

Browns expected to sign Jadeveon Clowney as free agent plans second visit with team

The former Pro Bowl pass rusher previously met with the Browns in March

Jadeveon Clowney has been linked to the Cleveland Browns for more than a year, with the pass rusher reportedly turning down a lucrative offer from the AFC North contenders in 2020 free agency. On Monday, he's finally expected to join the team. Cleveland is working to arrange a visit with Clowney, one of the biggest names still unsigned this offseason, for the second time in two months. And all expectations are that both sides will strike a deal to put Clowney in a Browns uniform for 2021, according to CBS Sports senior reporter Jonathan Jones.

Clowney, who played for the Titans in 2020, left his last visit with the Browns at the end of March without a contract. But with the 2021 draft drawing near, the former Pro Bowler is set to secure a new home -- his fourth in as many seasons. Cleveland, meanwhile, is set to make its splashiest addition yet at defensive end, which was widely considered a top priority for the team in the draft. The Browns signed former Falcons first-rounder Takkarist McKinley earlier in free agency, although he projects as more of a rotational pass rusher opposite All-Pro Myles Garrett.

The No. 1 overall pick back in 2014, Clowney has had a quiet free agent market in back-to-back years, likely in part due to injuries. The former Texans standout hasn't played a full season since 2017, when he logged a career-high 9.5 sacks, missing three games with the Seahawks in 2019 due to a sports hernia; then missing half of 2020 in Tennessee because of a knee issue. When healthy, Clowney has often made up for unspectacular sack numbers with imposing size and physicality, especially against the run.

In Cleveland, he'd likely start opposite Garrett and alongside new defensive tackle Malik Jackson, replacing fellow free agent Olivier Vernon.
