Fun story this morning. Daniel Jeremiah is reporting that a lot of the football world he trusts believe the Niners moved up for Mac Jones. Y’all ready for that one? It would be hilarious.
The percentage of reports a month before the draft that I believe is not zero. But it is zero-adjacent.
Sorry. Eyesight issue. Drafted him from my phone. Can you track names on the site? That would be helpful.
Eagles 1(6) DeVonta Smith, WR - Alabama 2(5) Greg Newsome, CB - Northwestern 3(6) Levi Onwuzurike, DT - Washington 3(30) Rashad Weaver, DE - Pittsburgh 4(13) Trey Hill, OL - Georgia 4(29) Caden Sterns, DB - Texas 4(34) Ambry Thomas, CB - Michigan 4(35) Brady Christensen, OT - BYU 6(5) Noah Gray, TE - Duke 6(40) Paddy Fisher, LB - Northwestern 6(41) Jared Goldwire, DT - Louisville Eagles are done. I think I did well.
Panthers 2(7) Jamin Davis, LB - Kentucky 3(9) Rodarius Williams, CB - Oklahoma State 4(8) Tre McKitty, TE - Georgia 5(7) Tutu Atwell, WR - Louisville 6(4) Joshuah Bledsoe, S - Missouri 6(9) Jerome Johnson, DT - Indiana 6(38) Jamar Johnson, S - Indiana 6(42) Victor Dimukeje, DE - Duke Traded for Watson so this could have been a waste but I still have Bridgewater.
I only know the spelling of the last guy I drafted for Carolina because you can't spell Dimukeje without Duke.
I'm not sure if this is what dirk meant, but if we could sort the column headers on the chart that would make it easier to check if someone has been taken. I realize that may not be ideal for names, since a sort would put them in alpha-order by first name. But school would be good. I have no idea if that simple spreadsheet function translates easily to the online posting.
First off, I like both of these drafts (just to get that out of the way). The mock I'm working on now has the Eagles going with Smith at 12, which I'm sure you would like to see considering they still get the guy you took but they also added draft capital. Newsome could slide into the first, and I'm actually mocking Onwuzirike to the Browns in the first after a trade down. Weaver is a tough sell for me. There are some tools I like to see in his game, but overall he kind of leaves me with a 'meh' type of vibe. Sterns, Thomas and Christensen make a nice round 4 block. Davis is taken in a good spot, Williams could be drafted earlier in the real thing and I have a feeling that Tutu could go at least a full round earlier in the actual draft. I like Jamar Johnson's game but I'm wondering if he will be athletic enough to continue with the same style at the next level. His pro day should be interesting.
