Flip side is you don't need to go after the high end guys to play those roles. Coy Wire was signed off the street. Kemal Ishmael was a seventh round comp pick. Deone Bucanon making that change never made sense. If a guy is a first round talent at safety, why fuck with him?

I loved the explanation Pees gave on the need for versatility. If you play cover two zone and a starting corner gets hurt, and the guy you bring in is much better at man coverage, are you really going to force him to play zone? It was refreshing just to have him make it so clear that inflexibility isn't helpful and that you have to make adjustments in-game based on what the opposing offense is doing and based on what personnel you have.
Hey RT - since you mentioned Marlon Davidson, this pick creates a 3-4 front. Grady Jarrett, Marlon Davidson and Odighizuwa up front, second rounder Zaven Collins and Dante Fowler on the edges, and Deion Jones and Oluokun as interior LB.
I’m intrigued by the idea of Zaven Collins as an edge rusher. No idea if it will work or not, but I like the idea. I will say this, I like Zaven Collins a hell of a lot more than I liked the Tremaine Edmunds kid in Buffalo. I thought everyone was nuts calling him a top 10 player. Still don’t think he’s come near living up to that
Also intrigued by Osa. Considered him myself. Couldn’t decide if he’s big or long enough for a 3-4. But much more useful in a 1-gap scheme, especially considering you guys will mix in 4-3 looks. Probably a great value here.
I don't think I'd line Collins up at DE in a 4-3, but as OLB in a 3-4, definitely. He has the coverage skills and can also rush. Fowler would be the primary edge if rushing four, but Collins would be a frequent blitzer. Osa might be 3-tech or DE in 4-3, but if it's single gap responsibility, I'd love to see what he can do at end in 3-4. I drafted both for need / fit, but I'm pleased with the value on both of them as well. I would have figured Osa would be gone by the early fourth.
I put them in there within minutes of RT announcing the trade. Did you click on the tabs for those rounds to look?
Joe traded twice, on back to back pics. I think what happened was you made all the changes for his first trade, and the second one was briefly missed because it looked so identical to the first. No biggie. I changed it when Dirk mentioned it
