As mentioned in the picks, if the Pats cannot get this done, I think the alternative is Detroit stays put and takes a corner (Surtain or Horn) with Carolina drafting at #8 taking Trey Lance. This would push Kyle Pitts down (Philly, #12) and therefore DeVonta Smith down the board. At #15, I would expect Bill to trade that straight-up for Jimmy G. with San Francisco. He gets his preferred QB back and San Fran gets back in the mix, likely taking a player like Smith. So the names won't move around too much but the teams taking them would.
Interesting SAS...I'm not sure Jimmy G commands that sort of price. I think Pats have sights set on Mac Jones...
Not to go all Chris Simms on y'all, but I'm watching the replays of BYU's Pro Day and may f**k around and put Zach Wilson QB#2. 1. Justin Fields 2. Zach Wilson 3. Trevor Lawrence
Not my order, but how I think they will come off the board on draft day (not all 1st rd): 1. T. Lawrence - JAX 2. Zach Wilson - NYJ 3. Justin Fields - SF 4. Trey Lance - DEN 5. Mac Jones- NE 6. Davis Mills- LV 7. Kyle Trask - PIT Trades involved on #4 and #5......
Ben only got an 8 game suspension... All Watson did was shake his willy a few times, he didn't actually lock himself and a drunk co-ed in a bathroom until he was done...well, we'll leave out the details, then proceed to use the good ol boy cover up by handing out pics and autographs to the off duty police officers/bouncers. That sounds like a bargain for Pittsburgh... Ben can only make it through the first 8 games anyway... then he pukes out. That will be about the time Watson returns.
Bring on this Wolverine; KWITY PAYE IMPRESSES AT PRO DAY... HAS MET WITH BROWNS https://brownswire.usatoday.com/2021/03/27/kwity-paye-michigan-pro-day-browns-meeting-nfl-draft/
It seems the Browns have met with just about every top 50 prospect, lol. Love it... DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! I’d be shocked if Paye was there in the 20s. I don’t think the Browns will trade into the teens or higher. If they trade up, it will just be a few spots of one of their top guys drop into the low 20s. But man, there is a lot of freaky talent in this draft. Especially on the defensive side of the ball. My hope is they get a top DE or DT, they should still have a lot of quality options at CB in the 2nd round... unless one of those top CBs drop to them.
I don't think I've ever been more excited about what we have right now at GM, HC and QB..... Gotta give Haslam some credit. He kept trying until he found the right combo.
Friendly reminder that Robert Kraft was caught on video doing the same things Deshaun is being accused of. Kraft's involvement also took a darker turn with links to human sex trafficking. And charges against him were dropped. I'm more confident in y'all trading for him during the Draft than him serving even a single game suspension.
Where I've struggled in all my mocks for Cleveland is putting what I want ahead of what I think could happen. As mentioned, I think it's more likely Owusu-Koramoah is available than it is we would draft him. Simply put, I think the combination of defensive coordinator an front office devalue the LB position. In a scenario like the one above, I would think Christian Barmore would likely be the pick over JOK (had him going #30 to Buffalo). It seems their defensive approach is to play lock-down coverage on the back end, create pressure with just your front four, and allow your LBs to simply be the "clean-up" crew. I think another more likely scenario involves us taking a wide receiver. It would have to be a right fit -- I don't think they'd take just any receiver at #26, but if Terrace Marshall Jr. (Louisiana State) is available, I think they'd have to consider that, too. The wide receiver room is one of the best in the league, but it just seems like it's very unsettled as well. Odell Beckham Jr. is mecurial, has spent the last two seasons either playing through injury or on the I.R., has a very high cap number, and the offense -- especially Baker -- seems to play at a higher level with him sidelined. Jarvis Landry is a stud and isn't going anywhere. Donovan Peoples-Jones looks to be a good building block for the future. But both Rashard Higgins and KhaDarel Hodge are going to go through free agency again next season. Marshall is an absolute dream fit for the team given that he's the true deep threat Baker hasn't had since Breshad Perriman his rookie campaign. Baker is one of the best deep-ball QBs in the league but doesn't have the weapons to take advantage of that skill set. It's definitely a move that wouldn't surprise me.
Actually a big difference is Kraft was going to establishments that cater to that behavior. Watson was trying to utilize legitimate therapists for his own pleasure; which I don’t think was on the menu. If he had picked a different style of establishment, he might not be in hot water at all. Kraft’s situation got very ugly because of what THEY were doing behind the scenes with trafficking. Watsons situation is getting ugly based solely on HIS actions. The fact that he seems to have some sort of addiction to this is making it more pronounced.
Ouch... my original post was in jest. Is there any way he is going to play this season? It will take a long time just to get all the court dates lined up. I can’t imagine the league will allow him to play while the cases are still pending.
