To point out the failures of the chiefs coaching staff here are a few stats for you They used 5 man protection 92% of the time (hey our line is sucking should we make some adjustments to buy mahomes some time? Na F it he can run around back there until someone comes open). They rushed the ball (via rb) only 6 times i the first half (hey maybe if we run some we can slow down the rush. Na let mahomes do his thing) Both of those led to this stat acording to next gen stats mahomes rushed for 497 yards before throwing the ball during all of his scrambling. BTW lots of peeps saying Byron Leftwhich will be on the fast track to be a head coach after the SB butshouldnt Todd Bowels be o that fast track?
Like Gideon said, Bowles had an opportunity to be a HC, and didn’t do very well. May get painted in to the category of good coordinator but bad HC. I think he will get another opportunity to be a HC, but Leftwich is the younger more exciting name at the moment. Arians is putting his name out there big time and he’ll get more than one interview after the next head coaching purge. Was Bowles even interviewed for any of the vacancies this season? Maybe he decided he wants to stay a coordinator after his initial taste of being a HC...
Belichick sucked with the Browns. (I know, I know, he wasn’t horrible, but he was booted for good reasons.) Belichick’s Pats sucked without Brady. Who did Bowles have at QB?
Modell fired Belichick in Feb 1996 because Belichick voiced his displeasure with Modell announcing that the Browns were moving to Baltimore 5 weeks into the 1995 season. The Browns were 3-1 at the time and news of the move derailed an otherwise promising season. Not many could successfully argue that Belichick didn't improve the Browns roster during his tenure in Cleveland and he wasn't done. The Browns arrived in Baltimore with a playoff caliber roster -and- two 1st round picks in the 1996 draft which they used on future HOF'ers Jonathon Ogden and Ray Lewis.
There has been some players and analyst who feel the refs were a little to involved on some of the calls.
if they're complaining about officiating, yes. figurative and/or literally, anyway you slice it its a yes. gonna get some bad calls for you and some bad calls against you. the losers are the ones that complain.
Matty I will never forget this Super Bowl (xl)....Seattle vs Pittsburgh.....I know lots of people in Vancouver that are Fans of Seahawks and they still talk about the call.........you would call them Losers......lol The officiating in Super Bowl XL was met with criticism from members of the media soon after the game, leading NFL Films to rank it as one of the top ten controversial calls of all time.

The Tennessee Titans do not talk about the Music City Fiasco. The Dallas Stars don’t talk about Brett Hull’s foot in the crease. They move on. It is the losers’ lot to talk about blown/egregious plays after the fact. That’s they way of the world. Matty’s comment stands.
Sadly it was probably a lateral in Tennessee though. Tough to tell if it possibly goes forward then curves back but best case scenario it doesn't get overturned if there were a review even with today's "standards".
