Quietly became the best blocking TE on the team. After watching Austin Hooper with a couple of key drops over the past 2-3 weekends, I'm all on board with seeing more 85 in the lineup.
So that makes it 5X now that I have seen the Browns win a post-season game, and that was the first I've ever seen on the road. Pretty amazing. 1986 - (my senior year in HS)..Had season tics and was at every game except for one... FTR: that season we went 12-4, which still stands as the best regular season record this squad has had in my lifetime....Anyway, CLE beat NYJ in an epic 2 OT thriller in the divisionals (best game I was ever at)....aaaand then I got in a pretty bad car wreck later that week which ended my season....Then "The Drive" happened...Pretty memorable week in my nightmares. 1987- We beat the Jack Trudeau led Colts in the divisionals...It was thrilling. Then "The fumble" the following week, which kinda put a damper on things. 1989- Beat the Jim Kelly Bills in an awesome divisional round playoff game. Clay Mathews sealed the game at the end with an unforgettable INT for Browns fans. I was at this game too. The following week, Elway happened again. Unreal. 1994- Beat the Patriots in first rd of playoffs. Belichick was our coach and Parcells was Pats coach. Good times. Lost to Pit following week. That's it, until last night...Jets, Colts, Bills Pats....So happy to add the Steelers to the list. GO BROWNS.
That is Hilarious............"Nacho Year" Good one Lyman. The Steelers were 11-0 ........what happen. Good luck for the Browns in Arrow Head.
I don't think we've talked enough about how the Browns beat the Steelers so badly that Maurkice Pouncey quit football.
I can honestly say that I've never seen anybody bulldoze Pouncey straight back off the snap, in a 3rd down and 1 situation, quite like the way Larry Ogunjobi did the other night, but is was awesome to see. Was it father time catching up with Pouncey, or was it that Ogunjobi is a freak of nature? Hard to tell....
Maybe that's why Tomlin was afraid to go for it on those 4th down plays that Steeler nation is griping about? FTR: I agree with them. Down multi scores in a playoff game, ya gotta go for it.
My favorite play of the game was Hunt's first TD. That was a statement TD as he would not be denied running through and over Defenders! Hoping we see a bunch more of that this weekend
Nice. I think I have two favorite plays from that game. Larry Ogunjobi destroying Pouncey and blowing up 3rd and short.....And the Nick Chubb screen that broke their backs.... I'll never forget that game. Go Browns.
I too will never forget that game. Nor this Run... The Chubb screen helped seal the win, but I was still a bit nervous. I knew the game was over when takitaki did this... [ Oh the memories that it brought back and the giddy feeling that we may get to witness more of the same...
Takitaki definitely sealed it, but it felt to me like the Chubb play really broke their spirits.... this was a quote from one of the Pittsburgh media members after the game. Summed it up well: "I thought the Browns played it well after building the shocking 1st quarter lead. Ben had 501 yards passing but I can't remember any of them. About 476 of those yards came at garbage time."
