10 unanswered. 14-10 Steelers. Watt called for defensive holding on 4th and goal so Washington gets new downs Lets go offense.
Bummer. Oh well. 11-1 isn't anything to hang our heads at. This team is worn out and you could see it tonight. The D played amazing in the first half but just couldn't keep it up. Again, too many dropped passes.
The offense let the defense down again and again. You have to establish some semblance of a running game
Yeah. Good point. 19 points(6 by the D) and then 17 points in the last two games. No real sustained drives
Dropped passes and missed tackles I think they have around 17 dropped passes in last 2 games anyone know why Claypool was not on the field for a lot of plays, seemed like maybe half of the offensive plays Yes the OL is not run blocking well but they need a legit RB in the worst way after this season. McFarland had some good holes to run thru a couple times in 1st half and just didn’t see it, doesn’t have good vision
Absolutely bizarre. I saw on one site they had both those teams at 1% chance of winning. Now, that looked too low to me just cos crazy shit can happen, but we'd all agree both teams were huge under dogs and for BOTH to win......just nuts. Maybe you can say this every season and im just getting caught up in it all, but this just seems to be such a weird, crazy season in terms of not just the results, but the way some of these games are being won and lost. And the 2 teams that stand out the most to me re this would be the Falcons and the Lions, altho there are others. All i can point to is covid/no crowds or some combination of the 2. Or black magic.
loved the signing of Ebron in the offseason but along with D Johnson his play has frustrated me the most. He hasn’t played a clean game yet. He’s had a dropped pass, false start or holding in every game. Time to stay off Twitter posting about winning the SB and start concentrating on what he’s doing on the field. Here we go.
I wouldn’t exactly say the Steelers were a heavy favorite, it was a 6 1/2 point spread and the home team gets 3 points to start. If the game is on a neutral field it’s a 3 1/2 point spread, in Washington it’s essentially a pick ‘em game
They could play this game on the moon and it wouldn't have been a pickem, thats just silly. Home teams get 3 points to start in a normal season, when being the home team actually matters. Plus some places had the Steelers as much as 10point favs. But thats beside the point cos i wasnt suggesting huge favs in terms of winning by a huge points margin. When i said huge favs i meant in terms of how many people were taking the Steelers to win, and in that sense there's nothing to discuss, the Steelers were massive favs. For good reason, undefeated team vs team from the NFC Least, the prediction writes itself. Its only 1 game, and the Steelers are still in a great position.
