Interesting bit of news I found this morning....... CLEVELAND, Ohio – The city on Wednesday granted landmark status to the birthplace of John Heisman, a legendary football coach and namesake of college football’s most prestigious player award. https://www.cleveland.com/cityhall/...re-football-legend-john-heisman-was-born.html And how "Cleveland" of them to get it wrong the first time.......
He's buried in Rhinelander, WI. When traveling through there, I made it a point to find the stone. Kinda neat.
This may be a bit off subject (I really liked learning about Heisman. As a fan of early college football I am shockingly uninformed about him. I’ll add that I was surprised that he never coached Cornell; many of the early greats had Big Red roots.) But, Dirk’s comment about his WI grave site reminded me of when I lived in CO and would visit Buffalo Bill’s grave. I’d stand there in my Bills hat with an offer to provide that perfect photo opp for a very modest $5. Surprisingly, I never had anyone accept my generous offer. Stupid Coloradoers.

Browns vs. Giants flexed to Sunday Night Football game! I was snoozing on that one Dawg......that's the following Sunday Dec 20th.....good job on the Update.
It actually works out great for me. I have the Direct TV issue down here, only we are getting blacked out on CBS, which is the channel that game was scheduled on before the flex. It's such a bunch of BS. It's going on in markets all across the country.
I pay for the NFL Ticket, and then this shit happens with Direct TV, and I wind up having access to every game except the Browns because they are broadcast locally....It's a crock of you know what.
If the Steelers lose to the Bills and Colts and the Browns beat the Ravens, Giants and Jets then week 17 is for the division. This is the one realistic scenario for the Browns to win the division. It's not crazy at all to follow and hope for this either. Good luck guys. Division or not you guys are gonna be back in the playoffs but this would be awesome.
Since no one is gonna go to the Bills board for this, I’ll be proactive and post this here: You’re welcome Cleveland Browns. Now, take care of business.
The way they are playing right now, I'm not sure Pittsburgh should chalk the Bengals game. Either way, the Browns need to ignore it all, and focus on the task at hand. Tonight is a golden opportunity for Cleveland to not only solidify playoff standing and inch closer to a possible AFCN crown, but also deal a death blow to one of our most hated rivals. GO BROWNS!
I’m not a fan of the Steelers and I’m certainly not a fan of the Ravens. I do have a high degree of affinity for the Browns. Perhaps that’s due to striking similarities in the Bills, Browns histories. For instance, there has been chatter for years that the Bills were headed for ... L.A., Toronto, or you fill in the _____; Cleveland one-upped Buffalo by having their owner rip their hearts out. The Bills endured a 17 year non-playoff stretch and Cleveland has been, uhmm, not good. Fortunately the Bills seem to have exorcised that recent history. And, the Browns are now a very good team. But there’s another hurdle that both need to get past, and I believe that the mental roadblock will be the most difficult challenge. The Browns have a chance to win the division. If they’re to do that they do need to win their next game. After that, they can focus on their next game. (In other words, they must play one game at a time.) The real opportunity is for the Browns to turn their history around. They have the talent, that much is clear. Do they have the mental fortitude? We’ll find out.

After that win last night I'm sure there is a Huge Party going on in Alcobaca .....Kudos to your Bills. It's great having the Browns and the Bills back in the playoff picture.....Tonight's game was a tough pick but I went with Cleveland.
