Damn. I don't know if I would have caught you anyway. We would have had six games different and I'm four games behind you. I would have had to run table to catch you. Now your gonna make me work for it.

 

For the fun of it I looked up your contest attendance @EvertonBears and you have actually been fairly consistent over the years ... sort of.
I didn't check the playoffs because I was curious as to how long you kept playing in the regular season. Here it is:

Over the years he has been a winner in this Pick-Em that stuck with the same loyalty for his team.....The Saints.

And he is not a Whiner he just wants to win.....I mean who doesn't......it has been a lot of fun over the years and there certainly was a LOT more player's on CBS Days.

You and I have been going round and round on this for years now.

You keep saying that people don't take this game seriously and just play for fun.

And I keep saying that I take my fun seriously.

We're never going to see eye to eye on this.

Which makes this a lot of fun !!!!

 

No one called SoCal a whiner, so I'm not sure why you mentioned this.

I appreciate every single member who comes back year after year to play in this contest. The number of members fluctuates up and down every year and I have seen strong numbers here although never as high as the CBS days. Quite honestly, I'm really happy about that too. When LnC asked me to help him with the contest on CBS he didn't do any of the work, I did all of it. He added a lot of fun posts and commentary to the contest thread but did not ever do any of the actual work. I did it. At one point we had 142 members playing at CBS which was a tremendous amount of work and not a whole lot of fun for me. I spent an average of 3 hours a day putting picks in, reminding members to pick and to do the leader boards and schedule each week. I am glad that our numbers are less here, I wouldn't be doing it if they were still that high.

I want to see us continue to have fun here like we have for 12 years. This is not the thread for personal bashing or grudges. I made that very clear at the start of every new season. I want SoCal to have as much fun as some of our quieter members and I want everyone to feel good when they post here. This is just a pick'em contest but we all work to make it fun for everyone and I sure don't want to see anyone stress over where they are in the standings. There are bigger things to worry about out there away from our computers and phones
