It was a heartbreaking loss the Vikings got to learn how to win! Sorry Badd and Will........the Vikes were on a roll and I thought for sure they would have beat the Boyz.
I wish I had watched this game, it must have been a real nail-biter! Baby....it was a Great Game.............Barn Burner.
The Ravens had a couple of positive COVID-19 test after the game yesterday. I hope that they aren’t going to screw up thanksgiving night.
@Willie That Vikings offensive line is operating at an unbelievably high level. Cook's number reflect that, and it is mirrored with Mattison's digits. Dalvin is playing well, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Alexander were to step in as the starter and have just as much success running behind that group.
I believe you are correct, hell, Mike Boone also, even Abdula. Ive been pleased with the o-line thus far and even with some changes, they seem to adapt and execute well. They like run blocking and do well protecting Cousins also. Mattison is a good backup and in my opinion, not quite as explosive as Cook, but pretty damn good. He seems to gain momentum the longer he plays too. I watch him in a game a couple weeks ago and he wasnt cuttin the mustard, but when he gets in a groove he's pretty good and I have to give credit to the o-line. Reiff, Bradbury, Dozier, Cleveland and O'Neil are really gelling... they are in a real good groove, just have to stay healthy. Looking at the depth chart, they have some horses behind them too, so thats a good thing. The Vikings o-line is underrated at the moment, but thats ok. On a side note - Its odd how the defense is not quite hitting on all cylinders. You'd think under Zimmer it would be the opposite, but thats another story.
Myles Garrett will miss Week 12 game against Jaguars After Sunday’s game against the Eagles, Browns defensive end Myles Garrett tweeted that he was “smiling and crying” with pride in how the team’s defensive line played in the 22-17 win. They were playing without Garrett because Garrett tested positive for COVID-19 late last week. Garrett had tested negative multiple times while out of practice with an illness, but wound up on the reserve list on Friday. They will have to play without Garrett again this weekend. Head coach Kevin Stefanski announced on Monday that Garrett will not play against the Jaguars in Jacksonville. Stefanski said the league’s protocols led to Garrett being ruled out and wouldn’t otherwise discuss Garrett’s condition. The Browns defensive line generated five sacks of Carson Wentz and one went for a safety when Olivier Vernon dropped Carson Wentz in the end zone. Another outing like that would help the Browns’ chances of ending Week 12 with an 8-3 record. NBC
@Tim @Willie Mattison had 1 start and it didnt go so well 10 carries 26 yards. The oline is playing well but its the combination of Cook and the oline that is making their rushing attack beastly.
He rushed 20 times the week earlier for 126 at 5.6 a clip, and he’s averaging 4.6 on the year (same as career average). The game you referenced had the Vikings in a hole early and they chose to try and throw their way out of it.
He has had other games this season where he did not do well with his limited carries. It could have been the limited carries but come on having anyone else other than cook back there is not as intimidating.
I’m not suggesting they are the same player. I’m stating the fact that you could put a lot of backs behind that line and they would immediately exceed expectations. Cook is still the same guy with the same issues he had coming out of the draft, and Kubiak is still the same coach that turned out thousand yard rushers the caliber of Orlandis Gary.
Its interesting how a good running game opens up the passing game, but at the same time, a well balanced team always controls the line of scrimmage and wins the battles in the trench.
