Bahahaa ... man you can turn ANYTHING dirty!! I'm still proud to be Canadian even if you've messed up her reputation ...
This right here. Just because I found it on Twitter or Facebook doesn't mean a Ronan Farrow/*insert journalist here* tweet/post is irrelevant. You have to dig further--but typically with really good journalists--very few left--you don't have to because said few good ones put all their sources/citations right front and center. What kills me is what he says/does are entirely different but his supporters nonetheless gobble it up Human Centipede style....Its beyond clear the actions stemming from decisions of Trump/republicans (and Biden--he deserves a shitload of criticism for naming 2 oil/gas lobbyists to his cabinet)--they are the furthest thing from 'America first.' Knowing the pandemic/covid is serious and doing nothing because 'he didn't want to panic people?' Hardly America first. I think we'd agree putting 'America first' would entail a tangible plan to stop/slow the virus--like most other first world countries did. 250k Americans are dead and all he can do is say 'the other guy would have done worse.' What about the one where he was bringing industry jobs back, especially bragging about the auto industry and US Steel. What happened? In typical republican fashion, he gave execs of GM and US Steel money with no strings attached, who then pocketed it as a bonus--because a CEO making 17 mil a year isn't doing well--then they lay off thousands of laborers. How about the one where Russians were putting bounties on US troops? Did nothing. How about when all US intelligence was on the same page saying Russia interfered in America's 2016 election at all levels--from state to federal? Surprise--he didn't do 'nothing.' He just sat on the world stage in Helsinki telling everybody he believes Putin, not his handpicked CIA/FBI/NSA chiefs, who he doesn't know where they got their information. Sense a theme here, yet? At least you admitted the wall. Don't get me wrong, I'm not here to shame you or any for liking Trump. Its entirely easy to see why he's so likeable and he's done plenty that I like/agree with on top of me not complaining about lower taxes/more money in the paycheck. He's the no-nonsense persona/name you know who told everybody that all politicians failed Americans and he was going to shake things up. He said all the right things, and is a master of pressing the right buttons of the media, making shitty Hollywood elites whine, making all levels of shitbag in Congress/Senate mad, from Mitt Romney, to Ben Sasse to the progressive Squad, to Pelosi and Schumer; on and on. And most of all, he embodies what some people consider the best about America--he's the guy when the chips are down, has that one perfect play--usually a bluff--and the odds go in the trash and he's on top. And that's what Democrats don't/seemingly wont understand. 'Arguing from the heart' has merit in this country. Pounding your fist and being the loudest in the room so all eyes are on you matters and facts don't because eyes aren't looking at facts--they're looking at you. That in and of itself is the short version of how he can muster great power among supporters; its also how he lost because over 4 years, 2 with entire republican control all he could do is pass tax cuts for his rich buddies. He also embodies the worst--like bullying mentality, narcissism, distortion of truth, distortion of rule of law, and an innate desire to erode American confidence in our institutions (while ironically/hypocritically and neverending citing love of a constitution most haven't read). Fun fact, Hitler did the bad things just mentioned. A 1-party state in China did/still does those things too. For hating socialists Venezuela/Castro in Cuba, China, and Nazis while loving freedom so much, he sure liked their ideas of an aggressive Federal Police force, journalistic intimidation, and accusing his political rivals of treason while maintaining if he wins an election its fair but if he lost its rigged. However, his problem is/was bluffing/bullshitting his way this point is why he's lost an election--because we don't have a better healthcare plan than the ACA. Lets be frank, republicans were never going to come up with one because that would mean money goes to Americans, not their corporate masters. Planet's gotten shittier. His foreign policy with our allies, Iran, and North Korea especially are utter failures. He's touted 'peace deals' with random countries that never were at war/conflict with each other. Manufacturing isn't back. Wages aren't up. The stock market being up is NOT indicative or equating that the economy is good. Tons of people are still without jobs/healthcare and automation is really starting to pick up steam, which makes things worse--unless tech is the focal point of training Americans. Oh--Trump didn't have a plan for that either. Republicans can't lead. They followed a damned good persona to victory, and now that persona is biding his time/going off the rails because multi-layered legal problems are about to kick him right in the ass. And I don't blame a single person that finds that more palatable over what the other shitty choice of our broken 2-party system has to offer. But also maybe don't be so damned gullible.
Also...I question your reading comprehension if you read that and came away with the feeling that pat is a Republican.
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this before but remember the battles with Al in Cal? I wonder how he feels since Trump's defeat.
Like most Trump voters, I'm guessing he thinks Trump actually won and the election was stolen by dems.
SoCalSaint, what are your thoughts on this Tucker Carlson op-ed? https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tucker-carlson-rudy-giuliani-sidney-powell-election-fraud
Very interesting and eye-opening article in my opinion anyway. The USA is like an onion right now, with layer upon layer being inexorably pulled off.
Ok. Here I go. I'm not going to answer this line by line or paragraph by paragraph. We'll be here all day. I agree with what Tucker says. If they have a "smoking gun", They'd better show it to us now. I know attorneys don't like to tip their hands before the game has been played. They have to prove a massive fraud and conspiracy. That's not an easy thing to do in the best of circumstances. But they have two big problems. 1) The wheels of American justice grind slowly 2) The clock is ticking. My personal opinion? Where their some shenanigans going on? Probably. Enough to change the outcome of an election? I don't think so. One thing beat Trump and one thing only. That damn virus. No Covid, the economy still is burning white hot. No riots on the scale that we have seen. And (most importantly) No mail in ballots. This country does not throw out a sitting president in that kind of economy.
Ahhhh. The mark of the troll. Don't answer the question. But rather,,,,,, change the subject. (((((YAWN !!!!!!!))))
Pat wrote a post. Baby complimented it. You replied to baby’s reply to pat and said that “we” republicans bring out the best in people. Anyone reading that would take it to mean you were calling pat a republican. I’ve told you this before but I’ll repeat. You lack the intelligence to survive more than one post in an argument with me. You’re always playing behind the sticks. It’s 4th down and you have 26 yards to go because you keep either false starting or getting sacked. If we compared brain cells I’d be on 5 on 3 power play. It’s 0-2 and you still think a fastball is coming but I’m throwing off speed and you’re out in front. Also, basketball.
