I predict (if there IS a season) that the Univ. of Michigan will rise. And Western Michigan Univ. will fall - they are in a brutal conference and lost some good players to the pros.

Travis Roy passed away today at 45. He played 11 seconds of D1 hockey at BU before his injury. He has raised a ton of money and awareness for spinal cord injuries and will go down as a legend of college hockey in Boston. I'll be raising one up to Travis Roy tonight. Sad story but inspirational to say the least.

no problem, i think we all need an ice fix. hoping that the NCAA is smart enough to capitalize on the shortage of hockey by airing as many live games as possible.

The Ivy League has canceled all winter sports due to the pandemic. The six Ivy’s in the ECAC will not skate this season. Sad.

Sad that the world has come to this.

Truly sad, Dan... angers me to no end also. Some dip-shits ruined everything for an entire world, but I hear no talk of condemnation or retaliation or retribution... sickening.

On a brighter note, the Wisconsin - Notre Dame game will be viewable tonight for me as I can stream it. Looking forward to that. I dont know about the availability of the BGSU tilt tho. Usually if something is televised, I can find it on the WWW.

Enjoy your day/night, Dan... nice to hear from you.

Time to get back at it!
No Newhook until after the WJC but once he gets back I expect the all-soph line of Boldy-Newhook-Hardman to be among the best lines, if not the best, in all of college hockey. The D scare me a bit......very green.

Something interesting of note, Hockey Canada is taking their NCAA kids now to practice/scrimmage for the upcoming WJC.
USAHockey is allowing their NCAA kids to play until somewhere around December 10.
Wisconsin coach Tony Granato on Hockey Canada's decision, "They've said all along that they need and want and he has to be here," Granato said after UW's victory at No. 20 Notre Dame on Saturday. "So from my side of things, I don't think it's right because his opportunity here to get ready for a World Junior tournament playing games like this is a heck of a lot better than scrimmaging 20 of your teammates that you're going to be in the tournament with."

Granato is absolutely correct and I hope the results will prove that.

I’m not sure if it was the first NCAA game of the season, but definitely the first Big 10 game, when Wisconsin skated vs. Notre Dame.

Buffalo prospect, Weisbach (7th round 2019) potted the first goal of the season. Hope he’s half as good as another recent final-round pick out of Sweden by the Sabres.
