One thing that I will say about Allen’s drop rate, because it circles us back to the original topic, is that some of those are self inflicted.

Like Baker, he can bring too much heat when it’s not needed.

However, he displays touch and anticipation at a much higher rate and value than Mayfield does.

Agreed. And I think a lot of that is driven by being late recognizing where to go with the football.

IMO, the jury is still out on Baker Mayfield. Clearly he's got plenty of things he can improve on, and I expect to see exactly that as he gets more comfortable in Stefanski's system. As mentioned earlier, we haven't been the model of stability.... A favorable schedule and getting Nick Chubb back for the stretch run will go a long way for Bake, and he has an opportunity to capitalize and cash in. We'll see what happens, but I think 10-6 or 11-5 is very possible for the Browns this year, and that should get them in the playoffs.

20/20 hindsight says that the Vikings screwed up when they let Bridgewater go. But let's be honest. Who knew. The Saints could afford to take a chance on him because if it didn't work out, they still had Tysom Hill. Then when Brees got hurt, Teddy showed the world that if you put a good offense around him, he can still play ball.

SMH. Are you serious? Tom really did a number on you guys over the years. lol! geez.

I think I'd be okay with TB12's resume in spite of whatever point you aren't proving....

FTR, I thought you weren't a PFF guy anyway? Funny that this is something you want to point out.

Yep I'm okay with it too. Let's not move the goal posts in this conversation. Brady is quite possibly the goat. He just has never been great when pressured. Feel free to re-watch either SB against the Giants.

I'm not a fan of their grades because I think players who are asked to do more for their teams shouldn't get dinged if they fall short on a difficult task.

I do believe they are capable of being statisticians in most cases. A guy getting a pressure, defending a pass, missing a tackle, batting a pass down, missing an open recover isn't really difficult to record.

Anyone can sit with a stop watch and figure out how long before a QB throws the football.

I'm sure there is a few they get wrong based on little subtleties but I feel like that is something they will get right the majority of the time.

    Hmmm....

"Tom Brady has always been bad under pressure."

    lol!. It wasn't my quote.

You're right TD. Brady and Mayfield are both really good when pressured. The data and visual evidence that says otherwise is flawed.

I'm sure Mayfield wouldn't mind being lumped into that company, but I was only referencing the line about Brady "always being bad under pressure.".....That's just funny to me. Something I never thought I'd hear.

Is Belichik done? He seems to have lost his touch and is watching a winning season without Brady become unattainable. I think he at least needs a change of scenery.

Belichick didnt throw 3 pics and he did right by yanking Cam. I think Belichick isnt the problem... he does the best he can with what he's got. Is he done?... I say, no.

Give credit to the 49ers D also.

If the Patriots had kept Jimmy and dealt Tom like Belichick wanted to do I doubt you wowuld be saying Brady was the winner.

10 touchdowns yesterday between the two of them.

I believe neither one was sacked at all during their games. suggesting that neither of them faced much in the way of pressure.

I'm just thankful we have Steeler fans on hand to remind us all how bad Tom Brady is in the clutch.

"Clutch" and "pressure" are two different things. Like any pocket QB, if you pressure Brady (especially from the middle) he struggles. Why are you being obtuse for no reason?

Well....it's true. Pressure Brady and you can beat him. It's how the Giants beat him twice in the SB.

Clutch and facing pressure are two completely different things. You moved the goalposts into a completely different stadium with that line.
