My early thoughts............ - I'm thinking the Steelers will expose our defensive flaws.....especially that big hole in the middle of the secondary. They just give up a lot of passes in the middle to deep middle. I think Chase Claypool finds those holes and hurts us bad. - I truly believe the offense can keep up with the Steelers offense. It's just a matter of the DEF stepping up and keeping Pittsburgh's off the field. - Turnovers will decide the outcome of the game. And Baker had two nail biting INT's in Q4 against the Colts. One, he took a big hit on and affected his throw. The first one was a WTH!?!? Who were you throwing to? This is what he looked like against the Ravens. He really hasn't been pressured much since. - Will Wyatt Teller be back next week at guard? Gotta keep the pressure off Mayfield. He just doesn't throw as well. - Will Landry purchase an industrial sized tub of Stick 'Em? Two drops! Right in the hands! He's Mr. Reliable when it comes to catching the ball. Hope it was only just a bad 2nd half lapse. We'll need those catches against the Steelers. - I'm expecting the game to be a close repeat of the Steelers / Eagles game with the Steelers earning the 'W'. I just don't think the Browns have learned to close out a game completely. Dallas and Indy both had chances until costly turnovers. I don't think the Steelers make those in this game.
Whoever wins this game will be in first place. Good game. The Browns haven’t had a chance to be in first place after week one in a really long time. I’m glad this game is in Pittsburgh
No trash talk here for me. Just two good teams battling it out. I'm buying both teams as contenders right now. The Steelers have had the Browns number to be sure. Home team by three. Get out your defibrillator Gid.
The only way the Browns win this is with lots of pressure on Ben. This needs to be Myles Garrett’s best game. If he can make Ben uncomfortable all day, then he could legitimately become a MVP candidate... then Baker needs to have a mistake free game. Those two things are the key to victory. If either break down, I fear we have a long trip home from 3 hours away. BACK to meaningful games though, how much fun is this??!! I can’t wait!
TJ Watt and Garrett both may already be out of the running for DMVP. Donald has 7.5 sacks to lead the league
I'm going to get this out of the way. It's way too early to talk about MVP awards. It's only Week 6. A lot can transpire over the next 12 weeks. I'm certainly hoping that Stefanski has these guys focused on the task at hand this week ! Not some individual, season's end award.
I wonder how the fact that this is Garrett’s first game against the Steelers since the helmet melt down will play out?
That’s why I mentioned Donald. Because TJ was the clear DMVP two weeks ago then it was Garrett last week now it is Donald.
My today's thoughts (subject to change) Both O-lines are a little dinged up. Both D-lines have a good pass rush. That adds up to an interesting day for the QB's. Steelers have a huge advantage at LB and Safety. Browns have (IMHO) a better group of TE's. WR is a push (statistically). I think the Browns are better at the slot WR. Wouldn't surprise me if this game is somewhat decided by the intermediate passing game in the middle of the field. Steelers have an experience advantage at CB, Browns have a raw talent advantage. Browns have an experience advantage at WR. WR talent is probably a push. The running game (less Chubb) is a push. As I already mentioned, both O-lines are dinged up but the Steelers have a huge advantage in the defensive front seven. Still, I don't see a FedEx Ground player of the week coming out of this game. I think the result will come down to who ever wins the time of possession -and- commits the fewest mistakes (turnovers/penalties). I think we're about to find out how good of a coach Stefanski is. Both teams will probably find some success going down field but, - IF - either Mayfield or Roethlisberger is allowed to dink and dunk down the field, they'll go home a winner. Can't wait !!!
The Cleveland Browns are the new boss of the north....Get ready to see the Steelers get bullied in their own house.
Don’t you think you should wait to thump your chest till after you actually beat the Steelers or Ravens? I’m not gonna sit here and tell you how much the Steelers are going to win the division and rule it, because right now three teams are playing some really good football and any one of the three could easily run away with the AFCN this season. But I will say this. I am a little nervous about this game. This is a statement game for both teams because of the way the Ravens dominated the division last season.
Don't you think you should realize that this is a Cleveland Browns thread? Cleveland is going to get it done on Sunday. After that, everyone will realize that the Browns are legit contenders...(even steeler fans.)
#95...You know he's going after him. Every time I see Ben get touched this season, he grimaces like he's going to break in half. With his propensity to hold the ball forever, I can see Garrett having another huge game.
