Well in my own defense SoCal, I live in the country and most properties around here are between 100-500 acres in size. :) We have a lot of trees and when they start growing over other trees or there are 2 or 3 of them growing too close by each other they have to be thinned. We still have another 10 or so to drop probably either this fall or next spring.

There is a strong commitment to continue replanting trees here. Most of the forests around here need to be thinned out in order to let the stronger trees grow to their potential. That's when the ministry goes in and cuts down a bunch of trees. Farmers who are opening up their farms to more growth will also take down trees in order to make room to grow food. The trees that are cut down are replanted elsewhere.

I think the State that most resembles Ontario and Quebec is Pennsylvania with their lush forests. Ontario is covered in blue and green and I don't think there is any fear for my children or their children's futures :)

Buffalo got hosed in the covid shuffle.

Bills @ Titans (week 5) got pushed back to Tuesday, now the Bills have to play the Chiefs on Thursday after traveling back to Buffalo. Brutal.

BF, I fully understand to concept of forrest management. It's just a shame to use furniture grade hardwood for fire wood.

Way back in the 80's, I had to take down a 40' tall walnut tree due to a public domain issue on an underground utilities right of way. I wasn't into woodworking yet so I sold it (standing) to an Amish guy for $2,500. He came in, dropped the tree and hauled it away in 10' lengths. He also threw in a cord of firewood which he delivered and stacked.

What did he cut it with? They aren’t supposed to use modern technologies.

Your schedule is wrong. The league changed a bunch of games starting this week

He used a chain saw. He was probably a Mennonite Amish. Their tradesmen do use some modern tools.

He didn't drag it away behind a horse and buggy.

She put up the original schedule. I started picking the winners and realized that the patriots are playing this week and the schedule says that they have a bye
