Week 5: Colts @ Browns

Should be a good game. Been a long time since I’ve been able to say that about a Browns game

 

Congratulations: you’re team is ranked number 13 in the nfl.com rankings. That’s the highest you guys have been since your return to the league. Our division has 3 teams in the top 13. Best division in football. The bengals would be in first place if they played in the NFCE

 

Our old friend at seebs has the Steelers at #3, Ravens at #4 & the Browns at #10. Nice power rankings

 

Tough game that will likely be a low scoring affair. As long as the Browns continue to play sound mistake free football this is a winnable game. The Colts are arguably playing the best defense right now.

This will likely be a low scoring affair that comes down to which team runs the ball better and has the ball last.

17-14 Browns.

 

They've played the Jags, Vikings, Jets and Bears. They should have a highly ranked defense.

 

They are 70 yards a game better than the second ranked Steelers

 

Whoop te do. The Steelers have played the Giants, Broncos and Texans. Those three teams are a combined 1-11.

 

The point is that the colts are way ahead in the rankings. It just happens to be the Steelers

 

No, the point is when you play offensively inept teams, your defensive stats should lead the league.

 

My take on this is we find out if the IND defense is for real and if our offense can keep rolling. Hopefully our defense doesn't get shredded but I don't think the Colts are nearly as tough as Dak and Company were last week. I'm looking for a lack of trick plays and just a plan ball control/game management effort. Would like to see the secondary step up a bit and give up the pass less often.

And Garrett, the AFC defensive player of the week, will keep up the pressure and will have another strip sack and a half dozen pressures or more.........

Wow. Last year the Browns were the sexy pick and this year it seemed like people were quiet on them.

4-1. They're good. Big game next week. I hope I can watch it.

 

Game of the week next weekend

 

In the past, that would have clanged off the post and bounced out for a missed FG and they would have lost the game. One bad play used to deflate this team.....it seems the tides are turning as good luck seems to be growing along with the team.

Last year they were a shiney, high horsepower boat with no rudder. They looked good at the dock, made a lot of noise but couldn't get out of the harbor.
