This first half is everything I hate about Bears offenses for the last decade... I mean 2 decades... I mean my whole life.
aside from an occasional season here and there....this has been the Bears offense for all our lives. And My Dads life.
2nd and 13 and you give up a massive gain could be 2nd and 49...this defense would give up 48 and a half
I’ve seen enough There won’t be a 2nd half comeback against this defense and our defense is a pile of shit living off past reputation Gonna go enjoy this weather
Lackluster half. D keeps flirting with being a good unit again, just can't be consistent at all. One play they will get good penetration then the next it's like they are afraid the ball carrier. Offense is the same as it always is. Badly thrown balls preventing drives from getting extended.
Any thoughts on one of the early drives why Naggy took the holding penalty rather than the sack? Just field position? I'd rather have it be 2nd down and like 12 than 1st and 20. Especially when you play so soft when they get behind in the down and distance.
Foles has been inaccurate but the WRs are getting zero separation. Also no running game to lean on. Devonta Freeman was another free agent, besides Fournette and AD, that we could have looked at in the last few weeks given how thin we are at the position. If there's anything that Pace (and possibly Nagy) value less than draft capital, it's the RB position.
Close call, but i think most would take the penalty there jsut cos you dont expect to give up 20yards. Odds of getting off the field marginally higher. Sucks to take a sack off a player tho.
