Maybe some stability will do the trick for this team.

Maybe you guys need a shirt with all the coaches names hanging off it like the QB one?

Only one week in and you're already wrong.

    Just an observation....

I realize, along with the rest of the world, that the Browns got shellacked in week 1, and let's face it, that is "par for the course", over the last 20 years......

That said. Why can't the NFL world just let us enjoy our victory on Thursday night? We don't get many primetime W's in the Land, or primetime games period. It's unbelievable to me how every non-Browns-fan feels obligated to remind us that we were playing Cincinnati, as if we weren't aware, or as if we had any control over the F'n schedule.

Browns won a game! Let us enjoy it. We understand who the opponent was.

FTR: that wasn't directed toward anyone on this site at all...lol! Just every (non-Browns) person I've run into since Thursday night.

Not oblivious. I understand why. We've earned it.......Only winning can change that...Consistent winning.

Now lets go beat the Football Team, and I'm sure we'll hear much of the same.

I know that it was Cincinnati but Burrows is a legitimate NFL QB. Good QBs can make shitty teams better. I can see him leading the Bengals to a surprise win over any team on their schedule

That's just the sports world. Non fans will usually, not always, downplay another team. More than one person on this board told me last year that "it was just Miami". In another AFC North page I'm on, Steelers fans were told "it's just the Giants", Ravens fans told "it's just Cleveland", Browns fans told "it's just Cincy", and Bengals fans told they suck.

    Just the way it is

Joe is legit. He is going to be a good NFL QB, if he survives. Dude took some brutal shots the other night, a couple of which could have been avoided. When he got crushed by Gustin after Myles stripped the ball, there was nothing much he could do. Though earlier in the game, when he tried to extend a play by shouldering up Sheldon Richardson, that was just unwise. Burrow had several "welcome to the NFL" moments, but he showed toughness, that's for sure.

I wouldn't discount the Washington EfTees. They beat an NFC East title contender in week 1. If they hold their own (or win) against a team on the rise, like the Cardinals in week 2, they could very well spoil seasons for teams like the Browns.

Are they Super Bowl contenders? Absolutely not. But I suspect they're a lot better than most people think.

I was one of the guys on this board that said, "it's just Miami" while Ravens' fans were puffing up and pounding your collective chests and I'll stick with it.

The fact remains that in the 1st half of last season (week 1 thru your week 8 Bye), you only played three teams that ended up drafting 11th or higher (K.C. - 32nd, PIT - 18th and SEA - 27th). In those 3 games, you went 2-1. In week 2 you beat a rebuilding team with a rookie QB by 6 points (sound familiar, Browns fans?)

I was also one of the guys who, while you were running off 12 straight wins after your 15 point loss at home to the Browns, posted kudos to the Ravens. From your Bye week on, you deserved every accolade you received. But not after the 49 point win against the Dolphins.

You can only play the teams on your schedule and every NFL team is a professional football team. Yes, some wins deserve more praise but none, imo, require ridicule or "it was just....". To me anyway.

Anyway, I was just basically saying to TopDawg that those comments happen. Just like if your team beats a contender, opposing fans will say it was luck, any given sunday, cheating refs, etc.

Agreed. You don't have to sell me on The Football Team. That D is legit.

So now we get another home game (not that it matters much without fans), and it's against The Football Team....

FWIW: I think Washington should just leave it at that forever......The Football Team is cool IMO....But anyway -

What's the best way to neutralize a fierce pass rush? Run hard right at them....

    What team is better equipped?

It actually could be a major equalizer.

Interestingly, just Chicago was on "the road", but perhaps not having the crowd noise is a factor in these comebacks.
