Ev called it, Arob supposedly wants 18m a year and Pace offered 16m per year.

Given the market I don’t think that’s unreasonable, he’s not reported asking for 20m. They should have loaded what they could into this year and spread out to 2020 and later given the notion the cap next year might reduce.

I 100% agree with Ev they should have and still could get this done. If we’re holding off on this on the chance Mitch lights it up? Fucking hell.

ARobs rumored asking price of 18 puts him between Cooper Kupp, 16m, and Keenan Allen, 20m, or at least that’s what I’ve read....was too lazy to fact check.

    That seems appropriate for sure.

See this is precisely where the ARob feeling disrespected part comes in. This deal should already have been done. With all the other positional contracts signed in the last few months this is easiest fucking deal ever to get over the line. Except our GM is a complete fucking incompetent. He is actually valuing Allen Robinson below Mike Glennon right now, that just blows my mind.

There i was thinking ARob wanted Cooper/Keenan Allen money when he actually wants less than that and its still not done. Fuck you Pace.

Given what a raging erection Pace has always had for Trubisky i honestly think is part of it.

For anyone watching at home (and already pointed out by vvarder and bww)...

Robinson wants 18 mil a year. Michael Thomas after bonuses is 22 and change mil a year. Deandre Hopkins is 27.5 mil with his new deal with the cards.

    Get. It. Done.

Get it done. The longer he waits the more it's going to cost.

I'm over Cohen. Not happy with that extension. His explosive potential is more often than not neutralized by his low football IQ.

Also, more generally, unless you have a top 3 or 4 RB in the league, I'm now against giving RBs a second contract after their rookie deal. Just not worth it, especially since replaceable talent can easily be found in any draft.

I have been thinking about this, and the Foles move monetarily, means he's our QB next year unless Mitch does enough to warrant either the tag or a contract since we didn't pick up the 5th year. And the tag for a QB is going to be at least 2m more. So how long a leash do you give him? He's had one game of 3 quarters of garbage / 1 quarter of amazing, and 1 good half and 1 mediocre half.

I guess I'm still surprised Foles didn't win the competition. If he's the transitional guy to the next QB, then he should play. Maybe Mitch'll click and start ripping off consistent big games, but I really don't think that's going to happen.
