Burrows looks pretty good for me Bengals. Should be a good game.

I mean, I can't disagree with that. And that's what's probably most-upsetting (not that you're the one to say it, @gidion72).

It's the fact that the Bengals were what, a 2-14 squad with their only wins against the Cleveland Kitchens and the Jets (who opened at #33 on the weekly NFL power rankings) - and the 6-10 Browns who were supposed to have been "held back" by their inept head coach and poor overall team dynamics in 2019 are a push on the money line.

Obviously, I don't want to overreact to Week 1 games. There's a reason I didn't talk the same s**t this offseason and it's because I doubted very seriously if we'd even have a season. The overall weirdness due to the 'Rona - in addition to all the usual Cleveland offseason changes - was always going to be a recipe for disaster. Facing a 14-2 Ravens squad who have legitimate Super Bowl aspirations in their home stadium (even without the fans) was a rotten draw for opening day. That's also not meant to excuse the 6-38 outcome that looked like the Browns were testing out their second-string offense... it can be both that the Ravens are a very good football team (continuing the theme from last season) and then Browns are a very bad football team right now (again, continuing the theme from last season).

How they - and certain individuals (*cough* 13 *cough*) respond to it on a short week will be a good indication of how this team can look this year. And while I obviously am predicting a win, a loss where they can show cohesion and some grit is still progress. New coaches, roster, schemes, etc. without an offseason means we likely won't know who this team is until Week 6-8 this season, unfortunately. We just have to hope that it's not too late once they figure themselves out.

I think the Browns are a better test for Borrows than the chargers. The kicker injuring himself and missing the easy kick took away from the chance to see Borrows in OT. I only got to see the last drive of the game. But he delivered a game winning pass in his first game. Too bad Green felt the need to push off. That was a perfectly placed ball and would have been a TD without the stupidity by Green. Borrows is what was advertised. I don’t think OBJ would be a problem if Borrows was his QB.

I kinda thought they'd give Seibert one more game (Thursday).

As soon as I saw they signed Parkey to the Practice Squad, I figured Seibert was on a short leash.

Me, waiting for the Andrew Sendejo news to drop...

We don't have a big enough practice squad to replace everyone who under performed on Sunday.

No, but unlike Cody Parkey, there are some decent options available...

Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix (a guy who I wanted them to chase a year or two ago) is currently sitting at home. Eric Reid (blackballed) is available. I'm fairly certain anyone clocking under a 4.9 40-yard out there would be an improvement over Sendejo. Cody Parkey over Austin Seibert? Meh... that's like upgrading from a cold bath to a lukewarm one. It might be slightly better, but it's also somehow worse for different reasons.

Clinton-Dix was released by the same guy who drafted him and coached him for a few years in Green Bay. I fully suspect there's something going on with Ha-Ha we don't know about.

And then there is also Earl Thomas sitting at home. But we know the story on him. (Or do we?)

With Seibert gone, let's take a peek... shall we?

After the (Cheesecake) Factory of Sadness Ordeal and the Odell "Doo-Doo Butter" Chronicles, I don't know if I can handle another player with a bizarre kink.

I legit had to look this up as I thought he was inactive/injured... the fact he's not starting over Sendejo is probably all the evidence we need to know that Redwine will be a one-contract guy with this team (if he even makes that).

Dorsey is a great GM. Glad the Steelers don’t have him. KC couldn’t win a SB until he was gone a couple of years

    Not sure what to expect.

The sure looked like a team way out of sinc last week. The lack of experience as a team together really showed.

Hopefully they at least make a better showing of themselves this week.

Two weeks ago I called this game a win. Today, I have some serious doubts.

I wouldn't be all that surprised to see a 3 point win by the Bengals (maybe in OT) coming off the foot of Austin Seibert. (The Bengals claimed him off the waiver wire.)

The Browns will run the ball down the Bengals throats. Easy win for the Browns after getting embarrassed by the Ravens

If that happens, I have to wonder what the hell y'all did to deserve that kind of karma
