Dallas is flying under the radar. I do not recall anyone, anywhere, talking about them. Avs in 6 Dan.........bet on it. Matty......the Colorado Av's will Hoist Lord Stanleys Grail in Edmonton.......lol
I’m real hesitant to buy in on Dallas. Heiskenen is a star on the backend but then who? Seguin up front and then a bunch of streaky guys. Khudobin? Pass. Avs in 6, tops, probably 5. That said the Avs have almost no post season experience and I think that holds them back. I like Vegas in the west. Winner of Bruins/Lightning will be my favorite. As I’ve said all year, I think it’s gonna be TB. Tough tough matchup for the a Bruins. I think they would’ve steamrolled Philly or NYI but it is what it is, TB is next up. Gotta beat everyone.
My take on Dallas is similar to, Matty's... although Dan is right, no one is talking too much about them, I feel like they just out scored a Calgary team who isnt or wasnt playing well, especially defensively or in net. I really think Dallas is going to get schooled by the Avs, but i thought the same on the Islanders vs the Caps, lol. Washington laid an egg big time. I'll take the Avs over the Stars and the Canucks over the Knights in a 7 gamer out West. In the East, I like nobody, lol. Seriously, they are in my opinion, the toughest to call... but since you guy's want to know Im taking the Bruins in 7 (Don Cherry made me) and I like the Islanders in 7 over the Flyers, that ought to be an offensive showcase.
Well, with FLA and CHI out, my only rooting interest now is good hockey. On a side note, I've been suffering from crippling intestinal disease / cancer for about a decade now, and very recently have started a treatment that seems to be working. I'm feeling better than I have any time since it started when I was 20. My partner's six year old son and I have been wanting to play hockey together, but he's not very good on ice skates, and I'm not very mobile. With the latter now fixed, I bought us a big net, a pair of sticks, and a bag of rubber balls / pucks to mess around with on the court by our house. I bought myself a halfway decent stick, and one of those wrap-around plastic guards to hopefully keep it protected during some light work outside with the kiddo. We're very excited. Here's to good hockey on TV and outside.
Here's to good hockey on TV and outside. My Thoughts and Prayers are with you dline......you sound Focused and Positive......that is Half the Battle.

Sorry to hear of the cancer and the length of time you've dealt with it... but, I was happily impressed with your attitude and glad to hear of your endeavor with the little one. I sure hope the new treatment is what works for you... best wishes and good luck. On a side note - I dont have a favorite team going either, but the NHL has done a tremendous job with these playoffs and ive been digging it daily since they started... it's been a lot of fun.
Hope all is well dline and that your health continues to improve. youre a great hockey (+other sports) poster here. its not necessarily your fault that you happen to like the wrong team(s) and i dont hold it against you........much. all kidding aside, its also great that youre bringing the game to the youngster, giving him the opportunity to love it like we do. had Auston Matthews' uncle never brought him to a game as a little kid i find it hard to believe that he wouldve found the sport.
all good my man. i have money on TB to win the Cup already and i think theyll win the series. i hope they dont but i think they match up so well against Boston. last time they played in the postseason, 2 or 3 years ago, TB owned the ice. you may remember that as the Brad Marchand licking phase. an unfortunate phase to say the least. happy to say that the licking has gone down and point production has gone up!
