There's a lot to reply to here because even though we disagree it's a good conversation but my time is short because it's almost time hit the first hole. I just wanted to highlight this. Part of the problem, maybe a majority of the problem, is the redundancies in government and the varying laws from border to border even within the same state. I don't simplify it with a sports reference but there was a time that the AL and NL in MLB were treated as basically two different leagues completely with differences in rules...different umpires even. And it was kinda dumb. Because they were playing the same sport. And the rules should be the same across the board. They slowly aligned and then even the umpires were made to work across both leagues and finally this season, even though I hate it, the DH is a universal rule. And it feels more fair and streamlined. Again...not to simplify but that's how major laws should work. The same everywhere. You can have your local differences in minor things...but the big ones should be fair across the board and the same. Maybe for you...you're a bit younger than I.

This was posted on the Fox News site over the weekend. The court added that they understood why that law was written. But also said that it must follow the constitution. Remember something here. This is the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals we're talking about here. For decades, the most liberal appeals court in the land. We on the right here on the west coast often refer to them as "The Ninth Circus". Needless to say. I'm stunned that it went this way.
While I agree 100% with this, as someone that spends a lot of time aggregating information it’s still remarkable to me how bad they are at it. Not enough to inspire confidence.
It’s a conversation that we all should be having but a lot of people don’t want to be labeled for simply having an opinion. Tough conversations are how pragmatic solutions are formed, IMO.
Trump has appointed I believe 10 judges on that court....and 1 out of every 4 circuit court judges in the nation during his time in office. So its not the liberal funhouse it was at one point. The 9th circuit always gets a bad rap...not always warranted. But it definitely isn't leaning as far left as it used to.
I'm 64 y/o. I've watched the left chip away at out rights for years. And on gun stuff? I won't give them an inch. Because they'll take it. And when the next shooting occurs ? They'll be back for more.
What rights of yours has the left taken away? Please elaborate. So even if a law made sense and would save a life....you'd be against it because a Democrat proposed it? Is that the takeaway here? What should they do instead? Throw a gun rally? Pass out free ammo? Offer thoughts and prayers?
