If a football game isn't realistic, I can't use it to satisfy my need to see the Bears succeed. It's the only hope I have, BWW. But it's now looking more likely that I'll die before I get either a good NFL game or a Bears Super Bowl.
Just do what I do and either alter all Trubisky's ratings to be 99.....or create yourself as the QB and become the hero Chicago needs. Lead them to 10 straight SB victories and set every passing record.
I think ben was an 85 the year before (at least thats what i found on the internet) so dropping to 81 comming off injury isnt that fr fetched.
To be honest, didn’t buy the game last year, so I can’t dispute. 2018 I believe he was somewhere 85-87. Honestly most years it’s just get an eye roll from me, but with the no OTAs, no preseason and no training camp a lot less content to read through right now lol
I have not bought madden in ages. To be honest though that has more to do with me still being on a ps2 than anything else. Ive only commented in the steelers players because they are the ones i know.
As a guy who has been suckered into buying Madden year after year I would have to say people read too much into the ratings for sure. You could always argue there’s 1 guy over-rated and 1 under-rated on virtually every team. But two things: 1) In recent years Madden has a more evolved formula for overall potential. So maybe you think T.J. Watt for example got short-changed at 86. But play one season in franchise mode and he might have jumped between 90-94 and continue to climb the next season. You can’t see the formula but if you’ve played as much as I have in the last five years you can see there’s certain names they intend to have take a big leap next season. 2) Another quirk about Madden, in some ways the ratings are still meaningless. Within the last three seasons I can tell you I’ve had JJ Watt rated 99 on my squad and he accomplishes absolutely nothing on the “field” for me. And if you’re even remotely trying you will stumble across some 74-76 rated WR who plays like he’s rated 95. No drops, wins his share of contested catches. He’ll never climb to 80 OVR, but season after season he will perform like a stud. And you can keep re-signing him for cheap. Just a couple facts I know about Madden because I’ve played enough to be sure they aren’t flukes.
I got a 'random opinion'... The NFL shouldnt allow the Washington football team to call themselves, the Washington Football Team. Its stupid and belittles the League. Pick a damn name, its not rocket science... its an embarrassment.
I think I agree Will. Maybe not on the why, but certainly on the thought it doesn’t need to take 12 months to figure this out. Ask your close friends, ask your fans on Twitter for ideas. Put your 10 highest ranking guys in a boardroom (virtual or not) for a weekend. Narrow it down to 3-4 options. Sleep on it a week, pick one! Not rocket science. A less than perfect name won’t lose you games. Perennially poor management will take care of that for you
They wanted to use The Foreskins but they were afraid that the Redskins would think that they were calling them dickheads.
Part of the problem might be the fact some guy ran out and trademarked several of the names that experts are considering could be the next name for the team. Depending on the name there are also other trademark issues that would take time to work out even under optimal conditions. Also while it seems simple the name would have to be approved by the NFL and because money drives the bus sponsors will likely have to approve as well. Before you say the sponsor deal is insane remember that is the real reason its being changed in the first place was sponsors threatening to pull money (snyder didnt all of a asudden have a change of heart).
Baseball is on the brink of shutting down the season. Hockey and basketball are doing ok under the bubble. The NFL either plays in a bubble or just concede to wait till next season.
Im curious how the pissed off, mis-treated, overlooked, always criticized, Derick Carr handles things this season. He wants to prove everybody wrong and has the 'chip' on his shoulder, but im curious if he can have the talent to shut-up the nay-sayers. I think the Raiders will be an interesting story in 2020.
