I’m just getting ready for the Armageddon of bullshit that will fill this thread up by the end of the day. The liberal way of doing business is not working, so unfortunately we are going to experience the harshness of a totally conservative government after the November election process is over. I truly believe that America is tired of the garbage that the Democratic Party has been handing out since Trump joined the race before getting elected in 2016. If you pay attention to the minority races in America you would see that they are turning away from the Democratic Party and declaring their allegiance to Trump. Why would they do that, maybe because unemployment is lower for all races of people in America in the history of America. People vote for their pockets and Trump has helped more Americans get something in their pockets than all the presidents before him combined. People are waking up to surviving in a shit pile and now realize they can live outside of the pigpen and actually be a part of the human race. Trump is getting people out of jail that were locked away for ridiculous prison sentences because the Democratic Party wanted to get minorities off the street. The Democratic Party is the slavery party, if they can’t own you physically then they will own your soul and keep you in the pigpen. But Trump ran for president to clean up the bullshit of oppressing minorities into the pigpen. The democrats have been Trumped

Tim said it is a free for all as long as we don’t get into personal insults. I can do this without personal insults because I generally don’t do that anyway. But I hated the old politics discussions because they usually just melted down into personal insults. Uhhh... Conservatives from 2016-2018 had control of the house, senate, and white house. Prior to 2016 going back to 2010, they had full control of the house, and in 2014, full control of senate after the bad rollout/aftermath of the Affordable Care Act when they flipped 63 seats in the house and 15 in the senate. How is "the liberal way of doing business" not working when they aren't/haven't been the majority who decides budgeting and bills being written/signed into law? Don't get me wrong, the modern American Democratic Party is garbage for tons of reasons like political correctness, cowardice, and eating itself alive by vilifying those not going along with the status quo of serving corporate masters. I'm curious for your take about the 400+ bipartisan bills agreed upon in a "democratic" controlled house sitting on cocaine Mitch McConnell's desk awaiting review and a vote in the senate. Do us a favor and look at the platforms of political parties during the times of slavery in this country as opposed to regurgitating a lazy talking point started by Marco Rubio. The Democratic Party then were the economists/free market aficionados, small/anti-government intervening types who wanted tax breaks and voting only for the wealthy whites. Show me where that's the platform of modern democrats? Abe Lincoln wanted to take away their free slave labor and keep religion the fuck out of politics...not a very "republican" thing you'd consider today. The platforms began to switch just after 1900 and finish polarizing at the time of LBJ. Also, two things can be true at the same time. Democrats suck, you modern conservatives should love them because they're spineless, incompetent, and most of all--silent when conservatives clutch their pearls and shit their diapers over double standards. And Donald Trump ran for president for himself, not to "clean shit up." Why else would his foundation have to be shut down because it broke the law, paying millions in fines as a result? Why else would he push hydroxycloroquine as a "cure" for covid when he isn't a doctor or immunologist but owns stake in the European company making the medicine? Great post Patg. Yep, in 2016-18 they couldn't even pass healthcare reform after all of them promised to repeal every word of Obamacare as soon as they could. Trump and his minions scapegoated Paul Ryan for that rather than taking a long hard look at themselves and how they all botched such a golden opportunity. I see us having a split Congress for the foreseeable future, Dems holding a slight majority in the house given the continuing unpopularity of Trump in urban and suburban white areas, while Republicans holding the Senate, even as Dem senators collectively rack up millions of more votes nationwide. Doesn't look good for the future of this country in terms of being able to reach a consensus on any type of policy.
