Yeah from listening to DeCosta, it sounds like Proche returning punts is a strong possibility. Also, Harbaugh was going over how those two will fit in with the rest. He mentioned Brown, then Boykin and Scott working hard, the Snead being Snead. Not a whiff about Moore who will be noted as our best receiver and making huge strides in a couple months. We should be excited. The team already was good, and I think we are in even better shape now.

Can you imagine being the Seahawks? Picking up Clowney and expecting that even if you couldn't resign him, you'd net a 3rd round comp pick as he'd be the highest paid free agent. Now they'll get nothing as the comp pick FA period has expired.
We picked up DJ Fluker. There is going to be one hell of a competition for the 3 inside positions of the OL this year. No clue how it's going to shake out.
Fluker is meh in pass coverage. He could very well just get beat out and cut, depending on the contract. I was actually surprised by this. They supposedly loved Powers and then drafted 2 more guys projected to compete for the RG spot
At 300 plus pounds I would have to imagine he couldn’t cover anyone on a pass play. Or did you mean pass blocking?
You have to remember that Harbaugh's mantra is best 5 guys on the line period regardless of position. What if Skura can't get ready due to all the virus stuff? Is Mekhari automatically the best C, or do they give Bozeman the shot as well? Then you have an open LG and RG spot with a ton of players to vie for two positions. It's going to be very interesting. If Skura or Mekhari hold down the C and Bozeman is clearly the best LG, then yeah they have an abundance of guards left for one opening. So they'll probably trade them for picks like they traded Lewis and Eluemenor last season. Also, the rookies might not be up to speed if everything has to be done virtually.
Just was reading the post Willie made on the main board about the cdc saying that everyone would have to be tested for the virus before any sports activity could be started. Another problem with sports is that these guys are still human. They’re going to want some sexual activity besides rosey palm and her five sisters. But from the way I’m taking it these guys might have to basically live in a campus like setting and avoid outside contact until the virus is gone. Can you keep these people caged up long enough to keep the virus away from them? To play a game that requires breaking the rules of social distancing requires that they all be and stay clean from the virus. Starting the season isn’t going to be a walk in the park.
Do we think the rumor is true or false about the Ravens being unhappy with Earl Thomas last year and were looking to dump him with the gun incident? I thought he stunk as did RR1 last year. Definitely not worth the hype, but not the utter failure Jefferson was for us. That being said, Thomas seems to have a way of being pissy often, and even if this is false, the fact that it's been run with and reported everywhere (because who bothers fact checking anyway) means that he's surely seen it and will probably be upset.
Curious to get some opinions - Do you move on from Earl? If you do, are you starting Chuck Clark or DeShon Elliott at FS? What's your plan for SS? I have an opinion I'll share but I'm interested in what some Baltimore fans think.
I honestly don't think you can move on from Earl this season. I don't think he's anywhere near the hype for us in Baltimore, but you at least know what you're getting here. I couldn't put my faith in Elliott at all. I'm not so sure he's going to get over the injury bug. I'd love to see what Geno can do. I don't think I've been more excited for the final two picks of a draft than I am for Proche and Stone. Something I wouldn't be opposed to looking into would be trying to move Jimmy to safety to keep him around longer. Again, you run into issues with injuries, but he's already proven himself to be a high caliber NFL player compared to Elliott.
Earl definitely didn't live up to his contract last season. He gave up on plays and from the rumors was that he wouldn't learn the nuances of the Ravens complex schemes that make Seattle's simplistic defense look like child's play. I won't forget that comment after the Browns game when Chubb blew on by him. I am not gonna pull any hammies out here trying to make a play that I can't make.... He better learn that Ravens defenders don't simply GIVE UP ON A PLAY. Play like a Raven or be gone bro. Personally, I hope they do slide Jimmy to safety, he can extend his career by 3-4 seasons if he does so.
I'm sure you guys have seen the Marquise Brown videos by now. He's looking jacked compared to last season. I hope he's staying flexible though and the muscle won't impact his speed. Where's Birk with his yoga? Actually, let's get some DDP yoga happening. Brown definitely has that mindset to be a #1 receiver. Glad he's working at his craft. At this level, working hard and extra is what it takes to succeed. The best guys realize this and don't just rest on whatever talents they are born with. If Duvernay or Proche are in the same vein, then they will easily surpass whatever physical limitations they had which caused them to drop in the draft. Hopefully Brown inspires the rest of the room.
I think DDP Yoga is/was more about getting your mind right to beat drug addiction. DDP and Scott Hall are two of the 3 spokemans lol. I forget the 3rd. I think it was Sean Waltman, aka Xpac. In terms of Brown, yeah he's killing it on his own and with Lamar. He's put on a ton of muscle but has videos showing he still has his speed. Hell, maybe a little more
Hey DDP is like 65 and can stand straight up and lift his leg off the ground while holding his foot. I couldn't do that at any stage of my life, so he's got to be doing something right.
Flacco signing with the Jets is kind of crazy. It's amazing that a guy who made his name for being an Ironman had had injuries completely scrap the remainder of his career. I'm honestly surprised he's still playing. I always worried that if Joe got older and his strong arm faltered that he'd struggle because his mental game wasn't where it needed to be. I thought he'd develop it more over the years, but I'm not sure he ever really did.
He's perfect for the Jets. He's a drop back, west coast offense type of QB and so is Darnold. Darnold is more accurate, younger and a better QB, but Joe is a better backup than they had last year if he stays healthy. The Jets need to hope they both stay healthy.
