Fleaflicker did a 180 on some of the position changes and changed some player's positions from DE back to LB. They made DE now EDR and DTs are ILs. Simmons is a LB again. (which makes no sense as he is expected to start at edge from preliminary news). They also have it so you can revert back to the old system.

People complained. So @Tim what is going on? Are we moving on with the new designations on FF? Same question for other leagues. Also I won't be shocked if some players get edited again soon to make them dual Edge and LB. This is confusing.

 

Im confused at the confusion. The new changes gives opportunity to get more or different types on the field/starting lineup... the scoring hasnt changed, so i dont see the problem. Edge rushers or interior lineman can earn you possibly more points now than the standard DT and allows you to have options. I think problems are going to be minor.

Simmons is an exception, because he actually is a linebacker, but will get edge rolls in the NFL, so either way you can get him in the lineup now.

Im probably missing something, per usual, but being able to revert to either system is also a plus, in my opinion. I guess im saying i like the changes and think its a step in the right direction as FF is trying, anyway, to address the issues that have come up. The forums (FF) were full of comments about these issues and FF listened.

If any of us see a direct problem or conflict, lets just email the FF crew and im sure they will give it a look see and straighten things out... they are very good at that and they have shown to be very flexible. Ive dealt with them as an owner of a League and they are very prompt to respond and help.

 

In my case I have 3 LBs on my squad who have been moved to EDR/IL, which is fine I guess, but I think you should also have the option of starting them as their actual position at LB. T.J. Watt is a LB, not an IL. He could be considered an Edge rusher, but he also drops into coverage. So I guess my point is that I can see what they're attempting to do, but I think that the combination should be EDR/LB, and not EDR/IL.
