Samichlaus Classic 14% from Austria. It markets itself as "The World's Most Extraordinary Beer". I will say the smell is something unique, like dates and strawberry. And the taste. It's like both were liquefied and reduced. I think I just got diabetes from it. Never again. I will hence call this beer Sammich Claus.
Speaking of Porter's... I missed out on this conversation. I love Porter's to begin with, those that don't like them probably drink too fast. They get better as they get closer to room temp and have a little time to breath. I don't chug as much as I did when I was younger. A porter is best about 15 minutes in and about 50 degrees..
Ya. I try a bit right away though because if I like it a bit cool I'll start right away and have it a bit of both but usually it's better close to room temp.
Breckenridge Vanilla Porter is one that I never let the fridge empty from.. I always have around 12 or so in there. I always have about 3-4 different ones to choose from as well as Budlight, Coors light and Miller light for friends that stop by.. I'm not a big fan of light beers unless I'm doing a house project and just need some water to clench my thirst.
Me too, that's why I like the Vanilla a lot.. It's good cold, but has about 4 levels of different tastes as it warms up
