IMO - Carolina and Baltimore are having the best draft after 3 rounds.

Claypool feels like another early round reach but we’ll see. Was hoping for Dobbins there, oh well.

I’m good with what the Steelers have done. I was pounding the table for a RB, but they drafted 2 extremely high upside guys who will be able to help contribute immediately.

Got McFarland Jr today at 124. Could be a good one. I hope.

Well, CBS Sports says the Steelers had a bad draft. That means there's 2 or 3 future pro bowlers in the mix.

JK Dobbins he just seems like a Steelers rb i don't understand how they let him get away now he's with the Ravens

This seems like a draft that we will have to see on the field to even form a real opinion of. McFarland looks fast but I didn’t see any highlights of him where he was busting up the middle for a hard earned short yardage carry. He seemed to have a ton of long runs

I'm old enough to remember when the Steelers had a horrible draft because they didn't take Eddie Lacy.

Same draft the Ravens "stole the draft" when they drafted the "next Ray Lewis" out of Kansas State.

I hear you beach. I just did truth and Joe’s mock draft and nobody we got was thought of as highly as the Steelers took them. Doesn’t mean that the Steelers are wrong, just that it makes it seem like they did a lot of reaching

Hey guys, been a little while, I didn't mind the draft too much, give it a B, feel like they should have addressed the NT position a little earlier, or if they were satisfied in what they have on the roster so far get a more position flexible IOL.
like Claypool a lot, needs to work on getting seperation, with his size and speed that needs to be worked on, love the fact he played special teams and likes to block, again with his size backers are going to have their hands full. Especially on screens and end-arounds with McFarland running the ball, speed kills! I like The speed of McFarland and the fact that he can take it to the house, they need someone like that. Conner and McFarland is Bettis/FWP II. Brooks seems like Baron 2.0 but hopefully with better cover skills, he's a really good blitzer which is good when you play in Blitzburgh and plays ST as well. Like the ceiling of Highsmith, kind of reminds me of Chad Brown hope he pans out just as well but stays in Pittsburgh!! Dotson seems like a Mauler which is what we need to increase the run game, but we can't afford to take a back seat in protecting Ben either, so hope he's got what it takes in that department. Davis has potential a motor at 4.82 40 at 315 is pretty good, hopefully he's the surprise of our draft!!

Maybe they reached a little but I'm giving them a pass this year on criticizing them for that, with the rare situation that they were in, no first, third and fifth those are huge gaps in which a lot of players they saw come off their board and without being able to do the homework on players they usually would be able to they went with what they needed this year. I hope McFarland doesn't end up being Dri Archer 2.0 but more like FWP.

Don’t get me wrong. I watched some highlights of McFarland after the draft and I really like what I saw as far as explosive plays go, I didn’t see any short yardage type plays in the film. Claypool looks good catching running routes towering above DBs, now I’m off to watch some Hightower highlights. I had to drink a half gallon of rum before I could come back and try to wrap my head around this draft. The miraculous thing is that I didn’t black out, so that might be a good omen for this draft class. We also have to keep remembering that we (got mink)

Those mocks are a lot of fun but you can't use that as a reference as to why Claypool went earlier in the real draft without wondering why these guys went 1.5-3 rounds later in the real draft:

    J. Jones (18), Baun (24), Cushenberry (41), Malik Harrison (42), Niang (44), Davis-Gaither (47), Lewis (48)

John Schneider has drafted some pretty damn good linebackers in Seattle. He took Jordyn Brooks in the first round. He went 3.30 in the Mock. Who do you believe?

I’m warming up to this draft. Maybe Claypool and McFarland can help us find the promiseland this season.

that would’ve been a better joke if you said you were drinking White Russians.

mom weight aside, they were drafted basically for the same reason, change of pace back and to have the explosive homerun threat.

I don’t mix my liquor, I only drink shots. The rum I drink needs nothing 1 ounce curls. But I appreciate what you said here.
This wasn’t a joke either, I got drunk after the Claypool pick. I was just too upset we passed on Dobbins
