I do really like the Harrison pick. I had him a lot higher on my linebacker board than a lot of people did. The Dobbins selection almost feels more like a luxury pick because they already had two third round picks and ended up with two more in the NE trade. They could go ahead and spend the capital on a position without great need at 2(23) knowing they were going back on the board at 3(7), likely comfortable with more than one player being available at that spot. Drafting J.K. gives them the ability to reassess the running back room next season when Edwards' contract is up and cutting Ingram would save them around $4mil. If J.K. works out and shows promise as a potential full time starter it gives them more options than what they would have going into 2021. If not, it's not a back breaker because they can still work out a deal with Edwards or draft another back next year knowing they have Dobbins on the cheap for 3 more.
I don't think I've ever had a draft where I've known all the names through 6 rounds. Can it go the whole way?
If I were to grade the Browns' off season - I would give Andrew Berry a D. The only reason it's not an F is he did manage to draft one of the top tackles in the draft and a decent safety. After that, a complete waste.
They're definitely not going to end up with that low of a grade from me. You had to draft a tackle early and even though he's #4 in my rankings it's not because I don't think he will succeed as a pro. Quite the opposite, actually, he just didn't score out as high as the other 3 in front of him. I like the Elliott pick at DT. He was probably higher in my DL rankings than a lot of places. Didn't particularly care for the Delpit pick, but the athleticism is undeniable. Phillips, Bryant and Harris are all solid picks and if Peoples-Jones can get it all in line then there will be the possibility to transition away from a big contract receiver rather smoothly.
