Do you know what the trade was? They are doing a horrible job all draft telling trade details despite there being barely any trades.
Nice move Decosta, took 2 of the Patriots 3rds with that trade. Can you say FLEECED the 71st and 98th picks for the Ravens 2nd and one of their 4th's The Ravens have 4 3rds now
FYI. No. 55 acquired by Ravens as part of Hayden Hurst trade with Falcons so we trade Hurst for Dobbins. I will take that
I think the DT pick fills another big need of interior line rush. Granted we needed that more before off-season additions. Still, if he shows up in camp, he could see playing time. I think everyone would agree now that Wr is our weakest position group now. You could follow that with OLB, but with how the Ravens rotate everyone around it might be hard to peg that down.
AB is probably going to be on the Ravens this coming season. I just see it happening. Say what you want about his ridiculousness but he is still one of the best in the league if he can get his head on straight. With the 98th pick from NE, they take Harrison a JJ type OLB to help set the edge from the Buckeyes.
Was there a drop off tho? Ingram got hurt against Cleveland. Edwards finished that game averaging 5.5ypc. He took the leading role the following week, with RG3, meaning Pittsburgh definitely didn't respect the pass and their run defense is good, and Gus averaged over 6. Then in the playoffs he averaged almost 7............but only got 3 carries. To me, the problem wasn't that other Tennessee didn't respect Gus, it was that Roman didn't respect Gus.
In terms of the draft, I like it. Harrison and Queen should be the ILBs for the next 4 years. I don't know much about Madubuike, but it sounds like he should be able to bring interior pressure. Add that to the additions of Campbell and Wolfe, and you can tell the Ravens haven't forgotten about what the Titans, and Browns, did in the run game, while also showing attention to interior pass rush. Bowser, Judon, and Ferguson should all, in theory, have easier times rushing from the outside with all the attention that could go to the middle. On offense, we added a tackle I don't know (who they will make a guard), and another fast receiver with great hands. I've read that Duvernay had 1 drop in his college career. If that's true, it's insane. Clearly speed was DeCosta's focus on offense, but unlike Ozzie (who I still love as a GM), he focused on guys who could also catch. The offense may be close to being what DeCosta wants it to be. It'll depend on Lamar and the o-line
You guys are absolutely nailing it this year !!! My Browns had a chance to narrow the gap and shit their pants.
I think the Jets stole the RB the steelers wanted. Normally they run up to the stand like jackasses when it's their turn to pick. This time they sat for a while before taking a RB anyway.
What needs are left? Gotta assume they go edge rusher at 170 is both Curtis Weaver and Bradlee Anae are still available. Already knocked out ILB ×2, Guard x2, and WR. Edge is all that's left.
I guess if it's a way to get him a hat on game day, that's good. I would rather be solely focus on being a receiver though. The team is far better with Brown's speed on the field. Now let us have two of that.
Overall, I think the Ravens crushed it. The pick I'm most questioning is Broderick, but that's probably because we've already seen DL guys with limited pass rush. I'm really excited to see our new WRs catch passes and see the new push from the front 4. There's also going to be some interior OL competition.
Yeah, Washington was my least favorite pick. Also, I guess Duvernay can focus on being a WR since Proche is likely the return guy
