Almost safe to say the Eagles had this pick pencilled in for weeks, expecting no one to take him sooner. You don't take a QB this soon without planning to take him ahead of whoever else may fall minus a huge name slipping.

Agreed. He needs work. But I'm confident he's going to put in that work and be successful. I just don't see him getting a shot to start at QB in Philly, given Wentz is entrenched there. So his path to a starting QB shot is cloudy at best, which disappoints me.
