With no safeties picked, it might be that Cleveland has a couple guys on their list in the same general tier. If they consider, say, three safeties interchangeable with one another, they might just sit it out.

That said, I think several safeties could go early. Teams that have already addressed other positions don't need to double down on them. It's definitely going to be interesting, to see how teams approach the top of the second.

Chinn is the best safety of this class

It's always been my contention that (in general) teams use:
    • 1st round picks on players they intend to start - immediately.
    • 2nd round picks on players that could start if necessary but, at the very least, compete for a starting spot - this year.
    • 3rd & 4th round picks on players that add depth immediately but need time to develop into players that compete for a starting job - in future years.
    • 5th thru 7th round picks on players that need to develop into adequate depth players (assuming they make the roster) - in future years.
In other words, once you get past the 2nd round, you don't draft players for this year. You draft them for future years. It is possible to find a Tom Brady in the later rounds, but that doesn't happen too often.

If Diggs or Fulton slip a little further, I could just as easily see the Browns go CB...A couple of EDGE guys in Yeter Gross-Matos and AJ Espenesa weren't supposed to be available day 2 either.

Hopefully the Raiders pick a couple of players way too high in rd two

    WR, WR, RB...

Lining up well for the Browns defense needs..

Though I think Tee Higgins is a stud that will pair well with A.J. and Burreaux

The Bengals are starting to scare me again.

Get Green and Jonah Williams back to pair with these two new offensive weapons. This will be a new offense.
