Yeah it didn’t really occur to me he might be tried at Guard But at least in my opinion, they should have a more specific plan than calling him utility. It’s your first round pick. So bad asset management IMO. Plus, considering the well documented loss of Jack Conklin I can only assume their plan is to plug him in on the right side. Time will tell.
That's the second time the Vikings have taken the exact same position that was drafted one pick before them. Maybe Zimmer doesn't understand how the que feature works in the draft room, lol.
Ah, that was Ohio State that beat Oklahoma 63-28 on the way to beating Clemson for the championship. How could I forget...
Just to clarify - I'm not suggesting that would be their plan. I'm certain their plan is to make him a starting tackle and give him every opportunity to do so. I was just giving my thoughts on what I expect his career path to start out as now that we know he is going to Tennessee.
I noticed on the second read through. Did I mention I’m a few deep? I might start missing a lot of things
I was the one asking if that might be the plan. I considered a scenario where I went OG early for Atlanta in either the GMO or the main mock, but I really didn't like any of the interior linemen. I thought taking one of the OTs and moving him inside as a rookie was a better option than taking a true guard.
Funny, I was thinking, "Yeah, I'd take that bet". Disappointed I'm so conservative, now. RB to KC. Holy hell, that offense.
A couple guys I liked more for that idea was Robert Hunt who I think is getting a lot of attention lately, and also Hakeem Adeniji. I don’t know exactly how ready either would be to start day one, but I think both fit that mould pretty well
As a UM fan, I'm glad there are still vestiges of greatness hanging around. I'm still waiting for them to be relevant, again...
