I miss those classic voices. The MNF guys. Howard Cosell. All of them...In this clip, normally he was working with Bob Trumpy, but for this game it sounds like Don Criqui is working with Ahmad Rashad for some reason. It's great when Criqui is like, "My goodness, that's the hardest hit I've seen in years!".

Howard Cosell was the first voice I ever heard broadcasting football. My parents didn’t watch sports but they went to night school so I discovered MNF on my own and the next year I was playing peewee league football and I was hooked for life

 

I used to know every player on every team in the 70’s when I was really nutty about football, then I turned 15 and became involved in drinking beer every weekend

 

The old MNF football theme still gives me chills when I hear it...

They have time to figure it out, but damn, what a mess it might be.

 

By the way, Joe. When I clicked on your link about the draft and landed there at cBS, I realized I hadn't been there in forever. Makes me wonder if they are any better with their stories and reporting? I used to do hockey and baseball fantasy there, but that was literally years ago.

 

Yahoo has gone downhill since all their talent dipped. ESPN is still ESPN with more spin than any other source. I usually use CBS if I want a quick lookup of recent shit if twitter hasn't shown me already.
