The Steelers became my favorite team from the beginning of my football watching. I remember the first football game I ever was the NewYork football Jets and the San Diego Chargers with Johnny Unitas. Against Joe Namoth. 1973. Two crappie teams but I didn’t know the difference. But I really loved listening to Howard Cosell and the crew
I miss those classic voices. The MNF guys. Howard Cosell. All of them...In this clip, normally he was working with Bob Trumpy, but for this game it sounds like Don Criqui is working with Ahmad Rashad for some reason. It's great when Criqui is like, "My goodness, that's the hardest hit I've seen in years!".

Incorrect. Trump took Sipe to the USFL's New Jersey Generals....Lefty from USC, Paul McDonald replaced him. ... Then Gary Danielson. Then Bernie (1985)
Kosars team's were NOT the kardiac kids... I thought you knew your football... That was Sipe's team's like 5 years before BK. Kardiac Kids (1978-1980)
Howard Cosell was the first voice I ever heard broadcasting football. My parents didn’t watch sports but they went to night school so I discovered MNF on my own and the next year I was playing peewee league football and I was hooked for life
I used to know every player on every team in the 70’s when I was really nutty about football, then I turned 15 and became involved in drinking beer every weekend
The old MNF football theme still gives me chills when I hear it... It ain't over until Dandy Don starts singin "Turn out the lights"
BTW, thanks for mentioning that Kenny Rogers song the other day. I can't get it out of my head now!!! All I can see is tiny Jeff Bridges dancing around looking for his next White Russian. lol!
UDFA the VIKINGS select; Mohamed Barry, ILB - Nebraska Barry, who played his senior season as a graduate student, also led NU in tackles as a junior in 2018, becoming the first Husker to lead Nebraska in tackles in back-to-back seasons since All-Americans Ndamukong Suh (2008 & 2009) and Lavonte David (2010 & 2011). Barry recorded four tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and a career-high three pass breakups as a senior, while also recovering one fumble. He finished his career with 245 tackles, which tied for 15th on Nebraska's all-time tackles list.
Mock virtual draft was a disaster. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...-several-glitches-issues-ahead-of-main-event/
Someone somewhere on this site... may have been, Tim, asked when the first glitch would or may occur. I said; the first pick with Cincinnati... I just had a feeling this was going to go way wrong. They have time to figure it out, but damn, what a mess it might be.
By the way, Joe. When I clicked on your link about the draft and landed there at cBS, I realized I hadn't been there in forever. Makes me wonder if they are any better with their stories and reporting? I used to do hockey and baseball fantasy there, but that was literally years ago.
Yahoo has gone downhill since all their talent dipped. ESPN is still ESPN with more spin than any other source. I usually use CBS if I want a quick lookup of recent shit if twitter hasn't shown me already.
