The Hawks have no back up QB and no 5th round pick, but Huntley was a targeted player both here and in the GMO.

Learning behind Russ is probably the perfect scenario for Tyler.

 

Wilson will still be playing ten years from now

 

Doesn’t change the idea of Huntley needing bench time behind a professional that he can mold his talents with.

When I said earlier that my QB choices were Fromm vs one other or another one likely to go later on, Huntley was the one I had in mind for later on. (There's still one other on my list that I can't name yet as he hasn't been taken.)

I don't know if he'll go this early, but he's one of my favorite prospects in this draft class. Love the poise, patience and accuracy. Definitely a sleeper with serious potential if the right team pairs him with the right position coach.

 

Not to mention the Garafolo-style trade potential (or Matt Schaub, for those who remember that far back) a few years from now.

 

Garapolo. Worst trade ever for Houston. Great for the falcons.
