I’m just going to cite my reaction when I first looked at the hat. I thought he was half-skeleton and not an elf in blackface.

I think it’s going to be divisive for no other reason that people are very quick to hop on the “that’s racist” horse and then just ride it.

Of course, racism is defined as being judgmental based on a superficial characteristic - making judgements based on one’s skin color or one’s heritage. Therefore, most claims of racism are, in fact, literally racism gone awry.

 

It isn't Brownie or HIS hat.. it's the Browns draft hat, which is characterized by a neon light version of the NFL mascots.. due to the Browns hat color, along with the neon effect of the elf on the hat, the background color of the hat shows through the elf face and it appears similar to blackface. Absolutely unintentional, but people are up in arms anyway.

That's why in California and New England, they sell panties that are pre-bunched.

I think most people have an issue with how ugly the elf and unis are more than anything. Brown and orange are a tough combo, my uncle used to coach at Bowling Green and coming up with uniforms was difficult to say the least.

I'm still mad from when they changed from their original logo to their last "new" logo and you couldn't make the Land O'Lakes "butter boobs" anymore

The sad thing is her choice can kill someone. We have a meat packing plant here in Green Bay that employs a segment of our population that doesn't believe in masking and social distancing. Now there's a huge outbreak at that plant and I personally know an entire family tbat has COVID 19.

They can protest all they want but I'm taking this pandemic very seriously
