You're not wrong Underdog. I don't like the long delays that happen after we get like 10 hours ahead of schedule, but I admit that I can't think of a better system than what we have. It's just unavoidable that it will happen, unless we change time slots once we get a certain amount ahead of time, but that would be difficult. Torgo has some great ideas, that could work....
The nice thing about this is the flexibility that we have. The time-slots are guidelines to help set an order. All of us deal with life issues and shit happens, so its the flexibility that makes this work.
I have. We’ve been ahead of schedule the entire time. That’s a good thing. A testament to your organization and moderation. There may be things worth bitching about. Clock usage definitely shouldn’t be one of them.
Sorry Joe and I had to do something and since we were way ahead of schedule late in the draft and I had to look at the board still it didn't matter much.
LOL. I didn't want to lose a pick. I just asked so I could see if I could get a future 7th back and still have a pick this round.
But you would never be able to use that future 7th round pick because picks don't carry forward to the next year.
It's crazy how the playoffs expanded to 14 teams. Money with the virus probably pushed it to happen now.
It was going to happen anyways. Got mentioned before the virus was even in sight. And the owners will never turn down that revenue
League expansion is on the horizon and yes, the NFL will be going international. Wild speculation - London, probably a third team in Texas, maybe something near Lincoln and likely one more spot on the East Coast if the can squeeze it in. And that’s not including the eventual relocation of the Chargers.
Dang. After you mentioned that, I had to go look. Thought my last pick was scheduled for 10pm , but it's actually 10:00 tomorrow morning. lol!
I already feel for the players who would belong to an international franchise. I wonder what kind of revenue concessions the league would make for said franchise. Imagine how much they'd have to overpay in free agency to get players to come. "Hey, do you want to spend half your year on a plane?"
