Our 40 foot container was one of many on that boat, and the logistics get pretty complex. The bottom line is they just give you a quote and that your stuff will be delivered to your new house. The path between Denver and Alcobaça was really up to them.

The strike at Lisbon harbor is just a fact of life in not-economically-optimized Europe. That was a hassle, though.

We’re just looking forward to tooling around Portugal and Europe (hopefully in the not too distant future).
