I think its just time now to make some moves... the team has been for the most part, the same over the past few years and cant win the big games. I think they are semi-blowing things up to create the right chemistry and combinations to put them over the top. Hope that's all it is... hope Zimmer isn't losing the room.

With all the players leaving why is Pat Elflien still on the roster why he sucks and is Dalvin Cook next to go? and what happens to Mike Boone hope Kubiak uses him or will he also leave will Alexander Mattison see an increased role in the Offense?

The Minnesota Vikings are set to lose another staple of their defense.

Everson Griffen, who had been with the Vikes for all 10 years of his career, earning four Pro Bowl bids, is leaving Minnesota, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

"We have broken off talks with Minnesota because they have to spend their money elsewhere and we decided to now focus our attention on free agency," Griffen's agent, Brian Murphy, said in a statement.

The 32-year-old pass rusher said his goodbye after a decade with the Vikings.

"When I came to Minnesota as a fourth-round pick out of USC, I had no idea how much my life would change over the next 10 years," Griffen wrote on Instagram. "I realized my dream of playing in the NFL, went to four Pro Bowls and came within one game of playing in the Super Bowl in front of the best fans in the country. More importantly, I became a husband, a dad, and met teammates who became brothers for life. I also stumbled a few times on my journey and could not be more grateful for the unconditional support and love I received from SKOL Nation. While it is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye, I leave Minnesota in the best physical and mental shape I have ever been and have many Pro Bowl seasons to come! Wherever my next stop is, I will always be grateful to and cheering for the Vikings. Thank you all for the love, support and memories."

Griffen should find no trouble finding work in a league always in need of edge rushers.

His departure continues the exodus from the Vikings' defense.

The team cut defensive lineman Linval Joseph and corner Xavier Rhodes. Corners Trae Waynes, Mackensie Alexander, and safeties Andrew Sendejo and Jayron Kearse also all signed elsewhere in free agency.

What are the Minnesota Vikings plans for 2020?

I hope they are looking at rebuilding the defense on the fly. Many holes to fill.

On offense, I hope they are reloading and working on that o-line.

Team seems out of sorts right now... hope it isn't too serious.

I was just wondering cause the only player they got in FA was Michael Pierce so far and all the players leaving, are the Vikings going to make any moves is it because the Vikings have money problems there not making any moves

The trade of Stefon Diggs left a big hole in the Vikings wide receiver corps and they started to fill it with a free agent signing on Wednesday.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the team has signed former Titans wideout Tajae Sharpe. It’s a one-year deal for Sharpe and there’s no word on the money involved.

Sharpe was a 2016 fifth-round pick in Tennessee and missed the entire 2017 season with a foot injury. He played in 47 regular season games and made 29 starts over his other three years with the team.

Sharpe caught 92 passes for 1,167 yards and eight touchdowns while with the Titans. He added one catch for six yards in the playoffs last season.

Adam Thielen, Bisi Johnson, Chad Beebe, Alexander Hollins, Dillon Mitchell and Davion Davis are the other wideouts on the Vikings roster.

I think they definitely draft a WR and a CB in the 1st round... hope so anyway.

The Vikings have reached agreement to re-sign center Brett Jones, Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reports.

The Cowboys showed interest in Jones after Travis Frederick retired, according to Tomasson.

Jones will receive the veteran minimum contract with a base salary of $910,000.

Jones, 28, played two games last season as a backup to first-round pick Garrett Bradbury. He went on injured reserve in mid-November after tearing an MCL in his knee during practice.

The Vikings designated Jones to return in the postseason, but they never activated him.

Jones, 28, has appeared in 46 games with 17 starts. He has played for the Vikings the past two seasons after two seasons with the Giants.

Ameer Abdullah doesn’t get many carries, but has carved out a niche for himself with the Vikings.

So they decided to keep him.

The team announced they had re-signed the free agent running back and return man.

He only got 23 carries and 15 receptions as an offensive player, but he was their primary kick returner, posting a decent 25.0-yard average.

The Vikings have Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison, so there’s not much room for him to have a role on offense, but the former Lions second-round pick gives them good depth there.

I don't understand this not playing him you got him play him Brett Jones, and Ricky better not trade for Trent Williams a big risk IMO you can find a descent LT in the draft
