That was the number of cases in the US just 1.5 hrs ago, it's gone up to 5891 already.

 

6052 now, it's going at a rate of 2000 new cases a day.

 

6308, that's 256 new cases in the last hour and a half, this thing is really starting to take off now.

 

Worst part is that it is only a small portion of the actual cases due to the atrociously insufficient testing going on in the U.S. I shudder to think what the actual number is.

Makes sense that the movie Outbreak is trending as the top watched show on Netflix at the moment.

 

If a country with a population of 330 Million people starts getting out of hand. You could start seeing 10 to 15K cases a day or more.

So many ignoring the instructions to self-isolate. They were at the beach for spring break in florida like nothing was going on.

If it gets real bad and people aren't following protocal, you'll start seeing cops, national guard, army, moving in.

Germany and Spain have both seen 2000 new cases in the last day.

 

Another big problem is that people are hoarding anything they can get their hands on now. Cold remedies are bare on the shelves, anything that kills the virus has been empty for over three weeks now. Food is starting to vanish at the grocery stores. We could have a famine coming up in the next month if people don’t stop hoarding food.

 

Agreed, I haven't been able to find eggs for 3 days now.

Now they are talking about a possible depression if the virus doesn’t get under control. We are already starting a recession according to the news now. A lot of companies are going to go belly up if this virus keeps up what it’s doing. You know this is only the beginning of diseases. There are more viruses to unleash on the world where the corona one came from. This might just be the new terrorism

 

Eggs are still available here in Washington state.
But a lot of other items are going out of stock. These times right now are the first time that I have ever been inside a Walmart and seen so many empty shelves. If Walmart can’t get supplies, who the heck can? You know this is going to get worse before it gets better.

 

Eggs are available here, just not at night, you have to go when the doors open.

 

I always go to the store around ten in the morning.
Stuff is running out that usually hardly sells, that is something that is crazy too. People are just scared of having no food. Can’t say I blame them when I see so many empty shelves at the stores.
I love how they tell you to make your own hand sanitizer, but you can’t even find the products to make that either. Another thing to try is buying liquor because you can use the alcohol to make sanitizer.

I used to think that stocking up was silly just a week ago. Now many take-out places are closed up.
I went shopping and it's comforting knowing that you have a stocked fridge and cupboards.

 

I tried to be better and not stocking up, but when you go to the store and they either have very little or none of what you are looking for, you start to stock up just a little at least.

I was in a store today and found everything I wanted with 1 caveat, that there was only a couple left of each so I cleaned 3 items off the shelf completely. 4 old fashion vegetable soups, 3 sardines and 2 stoufers mac & cheese. crazy , Before this these items were always pretty much fully stocked.
