I just don't get it. For a few million more you could have had Hooper. If you're gonna splurge....why not get someone that is actually good? And they didn't even check in on Ebron, from what I can tell. What the fucking fuck? Burton and Graham are essentially the same player right now with Graham being the healthy version. Awful.
The only thing I can say is that when Pace gets fired....this signing will be in the top 3 reasons why. Right behind Trubisky and kicker woes.
Mike Glennon? Or are we lumping him in under Trubisky? Not meeting DeShaun Watson at all during scouting/pre-draft sounds like it should be up there too. 9 mil for 1 year of Jimmy Graham is bad. 18 mil for 1 of the mentally disabled giraffe gets a pass? Pernell McKnee getting 39 mil over 5 years? Oh man these are starting to pile up. So many to choose. And my coffee hasn't kicked in...
I would lump Glennon/Trubisky/Watson/Mahomes all together. And Glennon doesn't bother me nearly as much as the others. Yeah he threw away money there but he did so knowing that Glennon wasn't the actual answer. McPhee had a lot of potential and versatility....but yeah that would have to go in the top 5.
Tom Brady announced he's not going back to Patriots. Outside of Tampa is there any team showing serious interest? Raiders and Titans are likely off the board. If he signs with Tampa then we better go after Bridgewater.
I don’t get the Bridgewater thing. Especially for the price he’s going to command. That guy has never once struck me as anything special, at all. Now everyone is getting all excited about him because he didn’t fuck up for a few games with one of the best teams in football surrounding him. The team that shells out big bucks for him will be very disappointed- mark my words.
He's not special. But he can take us to the playoffs if our D doesn't shit the bed. I don't want him though if the price is too high.
I don’t want a QB we can go to the playoffs with. We already have one. I want a QB we can win a SB with.
The first name could've been "my grandmother", as long as the second part was there. Cutting Floyd is necessary cap relief, especially considering his production. I'm interested to see Quinn's contract. Last year was a huge year for him, so we should probably expect more in the 5-8 sack range, but that would still be an upgrade rushing the passer over Floyd. I haven't followed his career that closely - if playing at OLB, will this be his first time without his hand dirt? I only remember him playing 4-3 DE.
